Marsch OUT

Football has undergone a process of bielsification; pressing and possessing, passing rather than dribbling, intercepting high up the field rather than making last-ditch tackles, are in vogue.

Marcelo Bielsa. The light that will never go out.

Congrats on staying up. Fun watching Leeds as a US fan and obviously happy to see Aaronson signed and Marsch have some success. Those touch line videos of your last minute goals were pretty special. Can't imagine how special it is for those lifelong leeds fans.

Anywho..... here's a bunch of every touch videos of Aaronson during the WCQ campaign. The dude works his ass off, hope he comes due for you guys.

Overtime the thought of all these Americans with Yorkshire accents will be amazing 😂

Fingers crossed he settles in fast and enjoys the UK weather.

Gee...thanks for those video clips. I'd forgotten how awful we were in WCQ!

But Aaronson was a bright spot. And these matches were really his first major run out with the National Team. Pulisic was injured so he got significant time. And most USA supporters felt like he was one of our best players throughout qualifying. And is now really pushing Pulisic for a starting job.

USA vs Morocco Friendly Tonight. This one doesn't kick off until after Midnight London time. But Brenden Aaronson will be in the starting Eleven. And Manager Gregg Berhalter will be trying him in a central midfield role. Essentially as a #8. The reason for this is to find a way to get both Aaronson and Pulisic in the lineup. Currently they both play Left Wing for USA. This is an interesting experiment and I wonder if it offers any clues as to how Aaronson might be used by JM. USA will likely use a 4-3-3 with Tyler Adams sitting deep. Typically it would be Yanus Musah (Valencia) and Weston McKennie (Juventus) occupying the other two midfield spots.

Goal USA!! Aaronson from Pulisic. Most of the work done by the Chelsea man. But our American youngster made about a 45 yard run to get on the end of it. 1-0

Aaronson working his ass off as usual. Looking skillful on the ball. Linking well with teammates. And of course getting hacked to death by the Moroccan players.....

In seventy minutes tonight Aaronson was very impressive. Omnipresent. He and Pulisic were head and shoulders above everyone.

Can’t wait to see him at Elland Road

John did you watch him in MLS at all? Or in Austria? Just curious. I know there are a lot of Football/Futbol/Soccer fans in the USA that don't follow MLS.

Sorry had to chuckle at 1.10 - Brando Aaronson through the middle giving them some "verticality"

Good to read your comments, John

I'd take Pulisic, if we had an opportunity to sign him.

Weah has got a shot in him.

I watch a fair amount of MLS and saw a bit of him there. To be honest, though, by the time the Premier League season is over my wife has had quite enough of football on television, so finding the opportunity to watch MLS can be a little difficult.

Didn't see Aaronson at all at Salzburg except for one or two Champions League games. Most of my knowledge of him comes from his time with the USMNT.

What was really impressive about his goal yesterday wasn't the goal itself (just a tap-in, after all) but the 45-yard run he made to get into position for it. Blazing speed and a real eye for just where he had to be.

We're a friendly lot in Yorkshire. Don't believe those rumours about that American backpackers who turned up in Yorkshire in 1981 and had a pint in The Slaughtered Lamb before getting bitten by a werewolf.
I love leeds united, may I never admit to it. :shhh:

I found you all to be a very friendly lot during my short stay. I loved every minute of it.

Since coming home, though, I have hours I can't recall/explain every full moon. I'm sure it's nothing and not related to the trip.
