Love the guy!
Love our squad besides a couple of them when they act like clowns in defence LOL
I believe he lacks confidence at this level. And you can't played scared in this league!

Tanaka will be a very good player. But keep in mind he's gone from the Bundesliga 2, the English Championship, and now the Premier League in successive seasons. That's a BIG jump!

We have a squad that started the season with very little PL (or equivalent) experience. The squad has grown into one that is pretty much mid-table quality, and very even across the top 15 or so players. We just need 2 or 3 players with that bit of extra quality. Can we afford £70m-£80m for a striker and a 10?

Goalkeeper
CB
number 10
number 9

i think Stones who is leaving Man city would be a good addition this summer

Goalkeepers (3) James Trafford, Lucas Perri, Alex Cairns (would think that once Perri goes we will then bring someone else in)
Youth backup: Darryl Ombang, Rory Mahady

Defenders (7) Jayden Bogle, Gabriel Gudmundsson, Joe Rodon, Tarik Muharemović, Jaka Bijol, Nico Elvedi, James Justin
Youth backup:Freddie Lane, Jayden Lienou

Central Midfielders (5) Ethan Ampadu, Sean Longstaff, Anton Stach, Ao Tanaka, Ilia Gruev
Youth backup: Rhys Chadwick, Alfie Cresswell, Ollie Pickles, Callum Mills, Sam Chambers

Attacking players (7) Daniel James, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Brenden Aaronson, Lukas Nmecha, Harry Wilson, Noah Okafor, Wilfried Gnonto
*** Ramazanni and Joseph probably not included in the 25 man squad

As such at present we actually have a 22 man squad of first team players - containing no youth players - which is I believe the limit. Don't know if we'd be looking at keeping 1 position open for Matteo Joseph or whether he is dead to Daniel Farke.

Even if Joseph did feature in Farkes plans he won't be able to play until next springtime.

Can't see it somehow.

Goalkeepers (3) James Trafford, Michael Zeterer, Alex Cairns

Defenders (8) Jayden Bogle, Gabriel Gudmundsson, Joe Rodon, Tarik Muharemović, Jaka Bijol, Nico Elvedi, James Justin, Melvin Bard

Central Midfielders (5) Ethan Ampadu, Sean Longstaff, Anton Stach, Ao Tanaka, Ilia Gruev

Attacking players (7) Daniel James, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Brenden Aaronson, Lukas Nmecha, Harry Wilson, Noah Okafor, JM Bahoya

So we now have a 23 man squad and the likes of Connor Mills, Cresswell etc to provide a bit of depth. Possibly Matteo Joseph to go into it at some point dependant on the injury and whether Farke would want him in the squad.

Based on us playing the 5 defenders, 2 midfielders, 2 wingers/10s/floaters etc, 1 striker formation that has been deployed so far we have:

3 keepers for 1 position
8 defenders for 5 positions
5 midfielders for 2 positions
7 attakers for 3 positions

Seems a decent level of cover in my humble opinion as well as also giving us plenty of flexibility in terms of changing formation.
