You're right, should be on the bench

You just did that to check if anyone’s paying attention. Do I win a fiver?

I forgot to put him on the bench when I put in Stach.

My choice of best team based on current squad.

Perri
Rondon(RCB), Struijk(CB), Bijol(LCB)
Bogel (RWB), Tanaka(RCM), Stach(DCM), Ampadu (LCM) Gudmundsson(LWB)
Gnonto, Piroe

i think in the premiership Gudmundsson will be stronger than Firpo because our full backs will need to defend a lot more
Leeds need a great summer 2026 with outgoings and incoming players

I've seen a few weaknesses in Gudmundson's defensive work. The manure winger turned him and left him for dead. He's, apparently, no quicker than Firpo and we'll have to see if he has Firpo's instincts. Junior saved a lot of goals against last season with sublime positioning

So you base your assessment on the first pointless pre season friendly, Firpo was good for us last season but it is speculation to suggest he would be as effective in the EPL. Evidence has to primarily be attributed to his first two seasons in the absence of any other sample. The chances are he would be better now than he was back then, but it remains to be seen how effective the new fella is.

The likelihood is he will be playing the position far more pragmatically, the cavalier style Firpo played last season will not be an option in the majority of games. Defensive shape will be paramount.

Joe Gelhardt
Isaac Schmidt

And now we have a real number 1 time to sell

There's not much value in any of them, and it would seem other clubs haven't made bids/offers for them.

Junior and sublime positioning in the same sentance?

The player I saw had no idea how to tackle. or mark an opponent and positionally he seemed to have been given free licence to wander anywhere on the pitch and abandon his role as Wing / Left Back at will. Often times when the opposition counter attacked there was acres of space on their right flank / our left back position as Junior was somewhere else on the pitch. The others simply had to cover when he was "absent". It's all about opinions but my feeling was that Junior was a defensive liability

As a balance, the longer he played for us the better he was as an attacking player. Cannot fault his spirit and character nor the effort he put in when he was on the pitch. It suited the style and way that Daniel Farke wanted us to play in the Championship

So any revisions on the weaker stronger perspective across the squad ?

Firpo is struggling for game time at Betis, 7 starts and 5 sub appearances last time I looked and 1 assist. La Liga is weaker than the prem outside the top 5 clubs.

Just one question why does Tanaka rarely play?
Love the guy!
Love our squad besides a couple of them when they act like clowns in defence LOL
