No shots.
No shots on target.
No shots off target.
No corners
5 touches in our box.
22% possession.
Comfortably the worst I’ve seen for some time, they didn’t seem to have any sort of plan.

They've got 3 points more than Portsmouth. And they're level on points with relegated Luton.

Nevertheless, they were atrocious.

Still waiting for the first team to impress me in the championship.

We didn't see Gruev for a while last season.

I think Sunderland gave us a good game. We almost won that one. But a draw seemed fair on reflection. That was the away game. I'd expect to beat them at ER.

Of the top 4, Burnley beat us but we really deserved to win that one. And we beat Sheff U easily.

I made the same point earlier, that Farke doesn't rush players in unless he has to.

But with Schmidt it's starting to be a question. There were easy minutes for him today. If you're trying to introduce a player or get him to fitness, today was the ideal game. We know Byram is a niggle waiting to happen. 10 or 15 minutes at the end would have made sense.

Starting to think either Schmidt is carrying an injury or he's not showing Farke what he wants to see in training.

Controlled the 2nd half well.

As it should have been tbf given the injuries they had.

Many impressive performances.

Once again Tanaka immense.

Solomon looked more lively.

And pleased DF gave Chambers and Crew a chance.
He just has....

You are not suggesting they start ahead of our experienced regular first-team players.

This was the game to bed them in, 3-0 up against one of the worst teams I've witnessed in the championship.

Conserving their energy for the Millwall & QPR games next week.

You did ask me to change your scorer, Tyzy. :)

If it's any consolation, I forgot to post up my 3-0 prediction.

No idea what he was up to.
They’ve been ok at home.
Only Wayne knows.
Reminiscent of the muppets who suggested that we'd have done better towards the end of Bielsa's regime if we'd adopted park the bus tactics. Park the bus and if you concede early then the whole gameplan is gone and then it is just a matter of how many you concede.

Irish Ian wrote: ↑Sat Nov 02, 2024 5:24 pm Is it worth the risks? Big game this week.

Remember Marsch bringing on Rodrigo when we were 3-0 up away to Accrington Stanley and him getting an ankle injury? Two months out.

The lads managed the game perfectly today imo, did the hard work, took little risk (Struijk apart) and won the game at a canter.

You can only win 3 points no matter how great the goal margin.

That more tired you are the greater injury risk and the recovery time is longer.

Millwall away next Wednesday.
Good points Ian. I agree. But if this game was the last day of the season, Burnley only have to win their game in hand by 3 goals and they leapfrog us for auto promotion. Goal difference can be invaluable.
