The last 2 games were a free play as we weren't expected to get anything from them. Nervous about tonight as we have to get something from it.

Hopefully we get a couple of goals and all the parking the bus practice we got in the last two games will stand to us.

We had a habit pre World Cup of coughing up late goals and losing points. Let's hope that's addressed.

My mind goes back to when we had to go and play a Leicester team who were struggling, and look what happened.

I think these type of games are not usually good to us. But im hoping/praying we get a good result. It would do the players confidence a lot of good to get a win, never mind us fans.

If ever there was a game this season to use as a barometer going forward for the rest of the season and how it might shape up i think this is it.

We're at home, Hammers are running bad but not a bad side, a draw answers nowt really and will still leave me worried about relegation, we should be winning this and if convincingly it would go a long way to easing some fears, if we get slapped that would worry me to death.

Can't know what to expect today. West Ham have some great players and are much better than their form and league position.

We've done well against top teams but not done the job against the bottom teams.

A Barometer for sure Kenny. It's the start of a new year. The next 10 matches see us play FIVE teams that are currently below us in the table. Four of the other five are outside of the top six in Villa, Brentford, Chelsea, and Brighton. This is the part of the season that will make or break us. We need to seize the opportunity. I'm looking for at least 12 points from this stretch. And 15 points would be better.

We need a result tonight. A win would be ideal, but a good performance and a point would be ok. More than anything I want to see a progression in our football. I want to see continued tactical evolution. I want to see intelligent in-match adjustments. Those are the things that have Jesse on the hot seat for me.

I will say that I have a good feeling about tonight. Fingers crossed....

Setting off to the game in an hour or so, and quite frankly haven’t a clue what to expect. Not a clue.

My guess is that this game will be decided by a single goal.

Moyes has a good record against us at home. I suspect they will let us have the ball and look to get us the counter when one or the other full backs push up and play into the space. We need to score first and then not give a goal away. Going in at half time with a lead will be ideal for us to go on and win the game. All very easy on paper.

Well, I did think we would get a point at Newcastle Swannie. But then I also felt good about home to Villa and away at Palace and we all know how that went. Probably why I was so pissed off after the Palace match and called for Jesse's head....
