Phillips is never going to leave us for Villa, not a chance, he already rejected them when we were in the Championship and they were in the Premier League.

Furthermore it would totally ruin any credibility Radz and the 49ers have.

I think the days of players staying loyal to their club are long gone. If in the 60s there was a huge difference in what clubs could pay in wages then I don't think the Leeds team would have stuck together as long as it did (unless we were the highest players). In those days moving for money was probably more akin to an extra fiver per week or getting a car as a signing bonus (and we'd be talking run of the mill car not a ferrari etc).

Even in the late 80s and 90s there wasn't that much difference in wages which is why we could bring players like Fairclough, Strach, Jones and other down a division to join us. In the case of Vinnie Jones he actually got a huge pay rise despite dropping a division.

Keeping in mind he wouldn't be playing the same role Bielsa used him in which is the only role he has ever shone in.

He doesn't look anywhere near as good for England next to Declan Rice in the role Southgate uses him in and that according to Marsch is similar to how he would use him.

And he is very injury prone over the last few years missing dozens of matches.
