I first started following Leeds in the second part of the 70s. Arthur Graham was my first favourite Leeds's player.

Arthur was unfortunate like Tony Yeboah in the 90s to be a stand-out player in one of our average Leeds Division1/PL teams

Born after the Revie era so that rules that out. Enjoyed the Wilko triumphs but it went flat too quickly that it almost made it seem like a fluke. The addition of Yeboah definitely the only highlight really after the Charity Shield win. Enjoyed the O'Leary time but we never really looked like winning a trophy and soured greatly by the attitude of some of the players (Kewell, Mills and Rio especially) after we went into meltdown. The Grayson years were a mix of great enjoyment, especially the first half of the promotion season and the OT cup win, and the nail biting last few months of the season. Still feel if he'd been given a bit of money we'd have comfortably made the Championship play-offs the year after promotion. For me though I am loving the times we are going through now under Bielsa. The style of football but also the character of the manager and players, not diving and being decent people. Yes a bit of a wobble now and the uncertainty of Bielsa's future but if you don't enjoy the football when we play well then there is something wrong with you.

Wouldn't say I have a favourite player from this team as it is all about the team.

Only went to a few games under Revie which was my favourite era with Clarke and Bremner as favourites but I can’t really count that.
Loved the way we played under O’Leary (Woodgate favourite player) until Ridsdale started spending money we didn’t have.
One of the most memorable seasons was 86/87 when we went so close in the FACup and first ever Play Off Final, Sheridan being my favourite by a mile, he was so classy.

With Giles a close second imo! Johnny was an intelligent hard player, could curl a pass like a golfer's put.

Revie , got into Leeds just near the end of that era .......FA Cup winning year , suppose that is also why Alan Clarke was probably my favourite player .

Just watched Leeds v Wolves on the Big Match from 1981.

Typical Leeds start going a goal down early in the game from a cross into the box.

Carl Harris equalised with a fine solo effort going round the keeper with a composed finish. I'd forgotten Carl made over 150 appearances in his nine year career at Leeds.

Arthur Graham had a great goal disallowed & also smacked a lovely effort against the bar.

Wayne Clarke scored a goal just like his dad had for Leeds so many times as Wolves went onto win 1-3

In the interview after the game Allan & Wayne were stood together with Allan commenting they looked like two peas in a pod.

The game was played on a horrible muddy pitch with the fans watching from behind those horrendous blue iron fences.

The South Stand was virtually empty, attendance only 19,000.

Of course, Clarkey's Leeds were relegated & of course we lost Carl Harris to Charlton come the 82/83 season.

I keep switching that on randomly, and often half way through- last one I saw was a couple of matches from 1976. Stan Bowles for QPR was one hell of a player. I saw a match involving WBA in the same year and Giles still had that amazing vision and was still pinging around some incredible passes.

Re 1981/2 I remember that Frank Worthington was signed late in the season and started immediately banging goals in which nearly saved us. He featured in one of those 1976 games as well - there were a lot of talented English players at that time, but England hardly used them.

When I first went to ER in 1982 there were still a quite few players in the 1st team from the relegation season. There was Lukic, Worthington,Cherry, Connor, Graham, Barnes, Burns, Hamson, Hart, Frank Gray and Hird I seem to remember. Kevin Hird was nicknamed ' Jasper. ' I presume because he looked like Jasper Carrott.

A few months later many of them had left, and players like Sheridan and other 'Eddie's babes ' started to be drafted in.
