Rab, Sara etc, you are not changing any ones mind with your posts.
The people on the other side are not changing Rab's, Sara's etc minds with their posts from other sources.

Rab, Sara etc, apparently do not believe official statistics, the government and main stream scientists and doctors.
The people on the other side generally believe these sources and are sceptical of social media facts and figures and internet experts.
(I know, probably over simplified).

Moderators.... I would vote to close this thread with the understanding that the 2 sides disagree with one another and that's not going to change.

What about anyone else. Should we leave this open or close it?
I do believe the statistics I Posted that there was 5 million dead... and out of the total cases that was roughly 2%. and that most of them had comordidities and were old.

My main objective is to report on things that might save lives... but the main stream narritive still insists in calling human invermecti a horse dewormer. I talk about the need for asperating syringes to ensure the vaccine is not going into the bloodstream. I point out the adverse events are real and people have testified before the senate. I fear that might be the fate of those taking a booster jab.

I see that a YouTube video which I posted has been removed which would suggest that censorship is happening... and it seems that any dissenting voices are being labeled as missinformation, or conspirisy theories.

One covid thread has already been shut down on here perhaps because people didn't like what was being written. let it happen again and it could be viewed as a censorship.

Indeed, I vote to keep it open. It's important to have a counter narrative to the mass hysteria and conformity that covid has brought around.

Agree with Bob Hirst this thread should be locked to stop this misleading news.
There were concerns about rhe Astra Zeneca vaccine causing blood clots. This is still an ongoing issue, and as of August this year there has been a paper in NATURE (is that prestigious enough for you... can that be classified as reliable) which goes into great detail.

For your edification you can read all about it here.

Can I just clarify here please Rab... it was Youtube that removed the video, and not us mods here on the forum....??

So far it is level pegging for the thread, so as it stands it will remain open... If any more want to have their "vote" please feel free to do so....

I was not suggesting the censorship took place on MOT... but that it happened on Youtube... perhaps my sentence construction could have been better.

Just like to say that Dr John Campbell is having more of his videos fact checked and warnings put on them because they differ from the mainstream narritive... yet when he looks at the qualifications of the fact checkers they all appear to be journalists with only one qualified doctor. The article was funded by the Robert Wood Johnson foundation and he was a one of the three brothers who founded Johnson & Johnson.... so no conflict of interests there.

All he was doing was to compare the modalities of action beteen Ivermectin and the new Pfizer antiviral pill and saying how similar they were.

Pfizer seem to be going for a belts and braces approach... if the vaccine is not enough then you can take this pill as well... and more profit for us... and don't get involved with that cheap generic horse dewormer.

I don't mischaracterise your position. You look like a duck, you quack like a duck, you walk like a duck, so I feel reasonably confident that you are a duck!

I have never said I don't 'believe' statistics, or the scientific data, where these are openly displayed, debated and peer assessed. I have consistently argued for more transparency, and for more research, both into the vaccines and their alternatives, and into natural and infection acquired immunity. I resent and reject your insinuation that I am some kind of conspiracy theorist who 'believes' social media, whatever that is supposed to mean. My most recent quotation was from Neil Ferguson, in case you hadn't noticed.

Covid-19 was/is a new problem that had/has to be dealt with. People like Faucci, although an expert in his field, have had to make decisions based on what they knew at the time. Some of the decisions have not been correct. To imply that Faucci and people like him are in collusion with the government to suppress and control the public sure sounds like some kind of conspiracy theory to me.

I am concerned about the erosion of human rights and civil liberties during this pandemic, and I have argued for the due process of law to protect these, for the principle of informed consent in medical treatment, and against divisive policies for which there is no medical or moral justification.

When I was a little lad, my grandad (who was a very intelligent, uneducated miner) said many things that have stuck with me over the years. He once said that "Britain was a free country, as long as you did what they told you to do". This is as true today as it was 60 years ago. Citing the pandemic is irrelevant in this argument. I also strongly disagree with your statement "divisive policies for which there is no medical or moral justification.

]If you don't like the arguments, don't read them, and if the thread doesn't interest you, don't open it. Similarly, don't try to deny other people's facility to discuss it, especially given that you patently don't even understand what it is they're saying.

Thanks for calling me stupid in such a nice way. Obviously as a lesser intellect I do have a great problem understanding what someone of a much greater intelligence has deemed fit to share with us less fortunate beings.

Why should the unvaccinated unnecessarily take up the hospital beds?

They had the choice....they knew better....and not only are they paying the price...I have zero sympathy.....their rotten attitude is stopping others who needed those beds.

And what mammoth task were they asked to undertake....yep....a jab in the arm.

Would be interesting to see how many of these expert unvaccinated would have taken the jab if there was a nice wee envelope stuffed with money in it.

Absolute disgrace.....pure selfishness.

I don't think that's a particularly clever mode of discussion, no. If the cap fits...
Here's some unedited comments from your Covid posts.

In any event, masks don't protect the wearer, and arguably increase the risk of spreading infection through micronisation, mishandling etc.

Not true. See Mayo Clinic.

and difficult not to conclude that the key reasons for mandates are psychological and political.

Is it?

There is something about the idea of a powerful cabal trying to control the world which clearly ties in with far right antisemitic thinking, which is why they promote it. It has also surprised me that there has been so little questioning on the grounds of censorship or civil liberties from the left.

No conspiracy theory there!

I'd rather trust my natural immunity, which the most recent studies show is superior to the immunisation from the vaccine.

Not true. See CDC.
When were you diagnosed with Covid?

Moves like the 'covid passport' are one step away from identity cards, centralised control of our data, and ultimately our choices. Those living in fear of a virus now should be very careful what they wish for.

Maybe a little paranoia with a bit of conspiracy theory thrown in.

I have also pointed out that there are financial and political agendas which push vaccination over other possible approaches, so that policy making isn't purely, or even primarily, in the interests of public health.

Yes. Conspiracy stuff.

I've already posted two studies showing natural immunity is broader and longer lasting, which presumably you've ignored as being an 'url hunt'.

Not true.

Ive already posted links to the most recent research on immunity. Again, as already mentioned, the findings are that immunity naturally acquired from infection is broader in effect, and longer lasting than immunisation by vaccine. There is therefore no benefit to someone who has already had covid also having the vaccine

Yet again not true. There are just as many studies that disagree with this assertion.

Vaccinating children is insane.

Some may disagree.

Two people local to me have died from blot clots on the brain after having the vaccine.

I know someone who died after eating a steak.
The cause of death was something else though.

Or another way of looking at it is that it's selfish and unreasonable of you to expect to enjoy an area of outstanding beauty to yourself, just because you're privileged enough to be able to afford to live there. You're not local to the area, so you must've been a tourist yourself once!

Not Covid (but on the Covid thread).
Your put down of another poster because you didn't appreciate their sentiments.

Put your faith in cloth masks to protect you. The holes in most cloth masks are 500 micometers. The size of airborne areosols range for 5-100 micrometers. The virus size is 0.15 micometers.

Explain to me the laws of physics that says a 0.15 micrometer virus can not pass through a hole that is 3,333 bigger. Even the smallest aresol has a hole 100 times bigger to pass through

It is easier than a football going into the net of the Norwich goal.

Some people have no conception of the minuteness of things. Masks are to give the frightened a sense of security... and are about as much use as a bunch of garlic to ward off Dracula.

Comparative size of bacteria and viruses. Bacteria can be measured in micrometers whereas viruses are measured in nanometers, and require an electron microscope to be seen. That is a thousand times smaller.
