Well what is there to be positive about? I was shot down and called negative in the summer for saying we had no creativity and we were an ageing team on the decline. The only good thing about this season is seeing u23s get game time.Carrick Dave wrote: ↑Tue Oct 26, 2021 8:39 pm Mate, you are endlessly negative lately. What have you got to say in support of our players and manager?

Cooper ended that one for us tonight I’m afraid think the players saw no way back after that I’m not overly bothered been out of the cup it’s the performance. And I get people calling for youngsters as some of the first team are dire but you can only play 1 max 2 before the team cohesion dissolves

Because he is literally our only senior central midfielder?
He also said last season he played when struggling with injury and was knackered (said as much in an interview)
The club have taken Klich for granted for years.

Thought we all wanted to go out so why the f**k are you all moaning? That wasn't a strong line up imo and too many subs. Cooper 2 games, 2 errors and 2 goals conceded
I'm not with the rest I don't think he's been good at all this season

Not just in the summer any longer then.
At least you can acknowledge the kids coming through as a positive.
What did you actually expect this season? We were realistically going to struggle to emulate last season’s heroics, but endlessly pouring scorn on the club is just poor.
If Norwich are licking their lips for Sunday I hope we give them a good bat in the mouth.

Don't think everyone wanted out faaip, but certainly the cups are not my priority. Perhaps they're not Bielsa's either.

Yep go back and read the start, most wanted to rest the important players, only a couple of us wanted to go for it. Which we didn't, that was basically a U23 or training match. At least the second half was

I didn't think we spent 16 years trying to get out the Championship, just to throw it away after 2 seasons. And I don't particularly want to be stuck there another ten years.Carrick Dave wrote: ↑Tue Oct 26, 2021 8:51 pm Not just in the summer any longer then.

The club got arrogant and delusional and thought we were guaranteed 9th place again just because of last season. It was obvious we needed to freshen up the line up and improve the team, but we did nothing all summer then wasted £25m on a player we didn't need.

As surprising as it is, we lost all semblance of control when Klich replaced Forshaw. This was made worse when Llorente was replaced by Cooper. From there on there was no holding option centrally and no forward ground passing without Llorente.
Klich is so far off the standard now it’s not funny. Such a pity to have Gelhardt come on and not receive more than two or three passes to his feet. Nearly everything was hit high and in hope.
As everyone is now saying, the lack of a quality central midfielder is killing us, and without Raphinha, making us so harmless to play against.

Our first-half performance very good.WhiteRose wrote: ↑Tue Oct 26, 2021 8:47 pm Cooper ended that one for us tonight I’m afraid think the players saw no way back after that I’m not overly bothered been out of the cup it’s the performance. Bielsa ruined our chances of getting a result in a mad 14 minutes with three subs that totally disrupted our play.

On current viewing he isn't wrong though.
James end product and creativity is almost non existent.
He has played 399 league minutes for us and created 2 chances, 2.
That means he has created 1 chance every 199 minutes.
Joe Gelhardt played 41 minutes vs Wolves and created 1 chance.
For James to only create 1 more in 358 more minutes is an unbelievably poor total for a £25mil pound winger (Raph creates a chance every 40min)

We all think that now, but we are where we are. Maybe cheering the lads we have got on is a better approach that putting them down with every post.SG90 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 26, 2021 8:54 pm I didn't think we spent 16 years trying to get out the Championship, just to throw it away after 2 seasons. We were better when Klich was subbed vs Wolves & worse when he came on tonight.
We chucked that game away in an instance.
