The £30m though was because he had a release clause in his Ipswich contract. May well have gone for more if there wasn't a release clause.

Nah.

He played more minutes and also played quite a few minutes in qualifying and the Copa America wins as well.

High class player just quite injury prone.

Cost him some big moves in the past including to Real Madrid.

Villa like to moan about the rules but these little back scratching deals don't go unnoticed

They will have basically paid Chelsea back the exact fee they received from Chelsea for Morgan Rogers with Garnacho and Jackson. . . . . ..

Yep regarding Hull they are giving themselves a chance by keeping it tight at the back.

Let's see where they are after around 12/13 games as that's then a third of the season gone.

Of the other newly promoted sides Ipswich have conceded 8 already so they will have to improve on that as you can't do anything in this league if you're conceding 2 goals per game.

Coventry I've not seen play yet but it's starting to look like a tough task for them. Obviously still early days but they will be desperate to get their first win and some points on the board.
