The trouble is that they don't. They all offer their own skillsets, do some things better than BA and some things wore. Gnonto hasn't shifted BA out of the side yet so no rerason to suggest he is higher in Farke's plans. Longstaff totally different type of player. Tanaka is probably the more like for like and I suggested at the end of last season that Tanaka could take BA's spot
My guess would be Gnonto will be sold and I wouldn't be surpised if Tanaka goes too. As such if we are repalcing them then does it make any real sense to also get rid of BA and use the potential £5m-£10m we get. If we were talking say £20m or if he was on £100k p/w wages then yeah financially it makes sense but that likely isn't the case so financially it makes little sense to sell him and then replace him as we wouldn't be getting a superstar for that money. For now it is a case that he can do a job for us, be it as a starter or a squad player - it isn't like he is a glaring weak link but maybe in a couple of years time the club has improved and at that point he is. It may be though that he keeps improving - likely never to the level of player we thought we were signing but simply scoring or setting up a few more goals.
Tanaka or/and Gnonto leaving whilst Aaronaon gets a new deal for me would be an appalling footballing decision.
Both of them are far better players.
I just don't see giving Aaronson a new long term deal as something we should ever do imo.
At best a couple of mediocre seasons so here is a new 4 year contract?
Maybe not a glaring weakness but he's hardly pulled up any trees here and has consistently been someone we've basically all wanted replaced in the last 2 seasons.

Someone on his wages is too much for just a squad player.
His contract runs out in 12 months so just let him go at the end of it.
Haven’t seen any other clubs showing interest in him which says a lot.
I’ve seen the Medford Mozzie as an alternative nickname for him ,seems more appropriate.
Brendan is a strange one, I’ve been thinking we should offload him for a year or two, but then I watch him play and have to backtrack as he clearly influences games for the better.
A three year deal probably means we get a fee for him after two years, I can live with that.
And Farke sees more of him than Cjay so I’ll trust him on this one.
Let’s be honest, Aaronson was always going to get a new contract. He is to Daniel what Tyler Roberts was to Marcelo.
I said last week if he carries his preseason form into the season he’s going to be a positive force for us.

I really thought he would make a move back to MLS on big money. What I didn't know until today is how settled he and his Wife feel living in the Leeds area. They absolutely LOVE it!
I will say that by extending his contract, the amortization of his initial £25 Million transfer fee looks better. But he still needs to prove that on the pitch. And if he's riding the bench it won't look good. He needs to provide some value to the side. And I think he will.
I know your thoughts on the player. And I agree that we need to see more production from our attacking players. But in some ways Aaronson is singularly unique. And I think we undervalue his elite qualities. Which are disruption and tenacity. Things that don't show up on the scoresheet. Which is unusual for an attacking player. But his Manager certainly doesn't undervalue them.
