Outtara was 37 plus add ons and we know from our own experiences you seldom get the add on. Plus they just sold Mbuemo for 65

So basically Outtara didn't actually cost them anything....

....and it's a good point. I see where you're coming from SG. We will rake in more revenue, especially when the capacity moves to 53,000.

About 12-15% of teams revenue comes from matchdays ... Marketing and TV rights bring in much more money than matchday receipts.

The marketing side is presumable a big reason the 49ers bought us as they knw we have huge global appeal, the sleeping giant with fans all over the world and well established fan bases in scandinavian countries, Australia, Ireland, even the USA. Something that the likes of Bournemouth, Brentford etc won't get unless they win trophies and the glory hunters jump on them.

Similarly tv and we are a bigger appeal to the tv companies as they know they will get plenty of viewers if we are on.

The stadium expansion is crucial though as it puts us into the 'bigger' club category. It makes it so that if we have a bit of success we are spoken as a big club, in the same way Tottenham are despite how sh*t they have been.

I’m not a massive fan of SCR, I’m surprised it got voted through given the advantage it gives the big teams in the league. I’d not even realised player sale profits were split over 3 years which feels like a big disadvantage for the seller model.

Of course the worst affected will be promoted sides particularly when they are usually small clubs - low footballing revenue, low squad values and even if they gamble and over spend they get screwed the next season by the feedback loop of docking what ever they went over by from the following years allowance.

The bright side for Leeds is unless we monumentally screw up this season we should be quite well protected in future seasons.

I’m not a massive fan of SCR, I’m surprised it got voted through given the advantage it gives the big teams in the league. I’d not even realised player sale profits were split over 3 years which feels like a big disadvantage for the seller model.

Of course the worst affected will be promoted sides particularly when they are usually small clubs - low footballing revenue, low squad values and even if they gamble and over spend they get screwed the next season by the feedback loop of docking what ever they went over by from the following years allowance.

The bright side for Leeds is unless we monumentally screw up this season we should be quite well protected in future seasons.

We will see the benefits in the future rather than straight away. The issue is our fans are too obsessed with greedy 6, but it's the sugar daddy clubs like Villa, Newcastle and Forest who will struggle going forward and are our main competition outside of them. We have much bigger commercial revenues than them, but can't compete because of how wealthy their owners are. Imo, the big winners would be Everton and Leeds going forward. Of course, this is why we need to remain in the PL.

A lot of clubs are banking on this "buy young players and sell them for a huge profit in a few years", but imo, the model is starting to run its cause.

Probably better than Okafor last season and comes out the same price now. We did underuse him tbf.... He probably had a similar season to Harry Wilson but a lot younger. And everyone seems to be in love with Wilson

Wilson will do well at Leeds.
