The great, now late, Dexter Wansel also passes away... The funk great joins a jazz great in that jazz funk band in the sky
RIP Dexter Wansel, a legend of Philly soul/funk
Life on Mars and Sweetest pain will be on for starters , just seen this
s**t, great actor. Saw him play, brilliantly, Frank n Furter in the Rocky Horror show, in the West End for the late night showing which is still one of my top 5 memories.. Stunning night, I felt really underdressed in jeans and leather jacket.
Brilliant banter with the audience espcially with the audience taking the piss out of his coffee ads

Very much of its time and an acquired taste but was also funny in Little Britain.

I was in the Hockney gallery on Tuesday and my wife commented that he must be nearly ninety now
RIP, David
PS, Kenny Jacket ex Watford player has died aged 64
I used to stroll around the gallery occasionally in my lunch break when I worked in Saltaire. Never really my cup of tea but interesting art. I'm more a Lowry fan. Still, good innings is 88 for a heavy smoker.

I thought his last twenty years work was quite interesting, most of it done on his iPad.
I liked his Yorkshire East Coast throughout the seasons exhibition and his French home stuff from the last couple of years.

Hockney lived in Bridlington with coastal views. We often drive past his house.
