Doesn't help in this day and age that if there isn't a social media post every 5 minutes fans start to make things up. Like you say everything could be completely rosy behind the scenes, we are identifying targets, ironing out the contract details to extend Farke's stay etc

Early next month Daniel Farke will have been in charge for three years.
At the start if the season he will be the 4th longest serving manager in the division.

Farke has a year left on his contract. Not like a player who becomes a free agent - the club have him for a year even if he doesn't sign something now - so there is no real urgency here.
From his side, he may be waiting to see what the transfer window looks like and what shape the squad is taking. In other words, is the club meeting his stated desire for ambition for the season ahead.
From the club's side, they can wait a few months to see how the squad gels after the new season starts.
One year deals aren't unusual for managers - Bielsa, Ariola, etc.
So we may well not see any news on this for a while - and that's OK. It's also OK - imo - if they do announce a new deal.
