Assuming we stay up I'd take a look at Abdul Fatawu at Leicester

Talented boy

Still only young (22)

Different to all our other attacking options as a left footer

Seems premature until we know what division we are in for definite. Whilst our total should be good enough, and we should pick up more points - anything can happen.

I think Farke would love to go back to 451 and it does make sense as he loves the double pivot and 2 DMF's plus a sweeper is an overkill and leaves us short in transition

To revert to a back four next season we'd likely need bit more pace than both Bijol & Struijk possess. Farke was clearly uncomfortable leaving Jaka and Pascal as a pairing at Wembley so felt he had to bring Rodon on to be able to make the tactical switch.

An upgrade at right back would also help.

That's more a Bijol issue imo, Struijk is quicker than him and compliments Rodon better as Bijol is poor left side. Bijol is basically a sweeper who's redundant in a 4 man back line..

If we get this FA he's either a quicker Bijol or he's a Rodon upgrade.. Or he's another Bornauw back up type (which I doubt tbh) and we do need a 5th CB if we stay in a 5

Decisions decisions, we will need to sell to buy id guess. So if we stay up :

- sort the future of those playing outside the club : Harrison, wober, Joseph, ramazani, Gelhardt, Schmidt (harry gray obvs going nowhere permanently.

- sell want away players: I can’t see Gnonto, James and Piroe been happy with their minutes. Longstaff and Perri probably in this category as well.

- offer new contracts, sell or let go: Darlow, Meslier, Byram, nmecha, cairns, Ampadu, Aaronson, struijk all out of contract soonish

If we went down there would a few more added to the want away category I’m sure.

Think we have around 120M to play with next season without selling, that's not to say we need move some on. We won't make our money back on Perri and Longstaff as it stands.

We defo need an Aaronson upgrade as imo he is ok best.
If he stays he surely cant continue as first choice wide 10 ( if we continue worh the current approach)

Struijk will leave too.
Rama wont be back either.
Piroe needs to leave for the sake of his career.

Also a Gruev upgrade would be good. We did miss him on Sunday imo.

Sentimental - has he done any badges ? If he has is he any good ?

The suggestion presumably is based on the fact we would be better off with a goalkeeper coach. Well if we do decide we want one is he the best choice ? We may as well consider Sam Byram for a defensive coach role.

Our Defence is solid. Almost 20% of goals against came in 2 games against Arsenal. Our midfield is solid defensively and box to box. Priorities need to be a striker and a number 10 with a bit of flair, who can create their own space and score the odd individual goal.
