7 goal contributions in 16 appearances (4 goals + 3 assists).

Not bad for a player, I was told by two of my pals wasn't good enough to play Premier League football.

He's a good looking lad BA but wouldn't go that far. . . . .

I shall leave that to our esteemed forum member who openly discussed a later life life choice change

Some players take time to get used to the level they are playing at. Its been said by a few on here that we only have a Championship squad, playing in the Premier league. If thats true then most if not all the players will take time to get used to the league, Some will do that quicker than others, and some wont be able to make that step up.
I think BA could well be one of those players that can make the step up but it wont happen for him over night, Maybe after half a season we are starting to see that he is getting used to it. If thats the case then hopefully it continues.
If we manage to stay in the league then next season the likes of BA and one of 2 others will be a real bonus for us having had a full season in the league.
As a fan when you havent played at a level like the Premier league its very easy to knock players when they make mistakes and say he should do this and that better.
BA is improving, thats great for him and us, long may it continue.

It is good to see players like BA improving. For me the biggest difference this season compared to the relegation season is that our players look to be improving rather than getting worse.

Spot on, we look like a side who belong in the PL, not completely out of our depth. Yes, we have to tread water at times, but that was always going to be the case as a newly promoted side, but I also think we have improved as the season has progressed and only in the Arsenal game did it look like a men against boys affair. Kudos to the players (limited as they may be) and Farke (ditto).

This is an incredibly important comparison. I don't think any of us would award more style points to Aaronson than Georginio, particularly in the Championship. But the production is certainly there at the Premier League level.

Another comparison is Bukayu Saka of Arsenal. His stat line is the same as Brenden's. With 4 goals and 3 assists in 1426 minutes played. I would suggest that Brendan does a LOT more defensive work than Saka who is basically up and down the wing.

3 of those Goals and 2 Assists in the new formation . . . . . .

A player transformed (lots of those).

I'd still have Georgie over him in a heartbeat though, one of my favourite LUFC players to watch.

Interesting you bringing up about a new formation suiting a player. We all saw during Rutter's season with us that his ability to produce anything dried up almost completely after he moved into the no.10 position. Oh sorry of course he was injured for all those games and could hardly move as evidenced by the lack of his gangly movement around the pitch.

Rutter is, as the Cjay himself might say, all fart and no poo (apologies for the filthy language used by the Cjay).

He was playing as a 10 long before he got his surgery and per the club was playing injured for a long time before that.

Besides I'd imagine being the most fouled player in the league by a mile and playing every game took its toll no?

I'd hardly say the player who created the most open play Championship chances since Buendia was all fart and no poo?

His Prem record is also overall better than BA.

And is a reason one of the best recruitment teams in football signed Georgie and BA had to play Championship football . . . . .

Aaronson has had a nice purple patch since we started playing a formation and system to suit the players.

Before that he was struggling.

Hopefully he keeps it up.

But in terms of talent and raw potential Rutter is streets ahead and far more fun to watch.

Not always about the talent though.

He's out of contract in 2027, so unless he signs a new deal, we'll have to sell him in the summer to avoid losing him for nothing.

With Nmecha drifting left (thus it not actually being a front 2) was Aaronson meant to be the one playing closer to DCL?

If he was it didn't work.

Correct, it that was the plan it didn't work nor make any sense, I really don't understand the lack of game time or use of Gnonto, he can play anywhere across the front and is probably better than any of those in the side ahead of him, he's even better than those on the bench ahead of him in the pecking order

Gnonto is completely wasted here! He is 3 times the player Aaronson is. He or DF has to leave for him to get the playing time he needs...
