Probably best not to give it to Farke wouldn't want him winning two trophies in a week.

You are right, we should be 6pts clear but we have to deal with where we are.The Subhuman wrote: ↑Fri Jan 10, 2025 7:22 pm There shouldn’t be….we’re punching well below our weight as most expensive side spending the most on salaries
He isn't going to get another keeper so another option up top for me, that isn't going to upset the apple cart, given Bamford is injured (again).

I’m not including Mes’s errors. All teams will drop points via keeper error this seasonPrisoner37 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 10, 2025 9:44 pm You are right, we should be 6pts clear but we have to deal with where we are.

Attributing points lost to Mes is pretty bogus tbh.The Subhuman wrote: ↑Fri Jan 10, 2025 10:18 pm I’m not including Mes’s errors. All teams will drop points via keeper error this season
In the same games you would therefore have to assess goals that should’ve been scored that could change the result even with a keeper error.
And in games with no keeper errors goals not scored that should have been scored have to be counted as points lost.
An impossible and pointless pursuit.
I declare my love for Saint Daniel and I can shoehorn him in to any conversation.

Re: Daniel Farke
I was surprised that he went as far as he did defending Mes.
Didn't expect Farke to totally throw him under the bus.
But he's backed himself into a corner now.
Basically said only an idiot would drop Meslier at this stage.

It's a silly argument to apportion the loss of points to an individual in a TEAM game played over a period of about an hour and a half. The Subhuman wrote: ↑Fri Jan 10, 2025 10:18 pm I’m not including Mes’s errors. All teams will drop points via keeper error this season

PSxG-GA is the stat that assesses saves he should/shouldn't have saved... -0.04...... (Per save expected goals) Basically he's just below saving the ones he was expected to meaning that he is very inconsistent I.e. he can save ones he isn't meant to save and can let in ones that he is.Jaydog wrote: ↑Fri Jan 10, 2025 10:25 pm Attributing points lost to Mes is pretty bogus tbh.

In terms of comparison to other keepers in champ on this stat he's just outside the bottom quarter of keepers (26%).
His distribution stats are much worse in the bottom 10%. Overall he isn't operating at a top or even mid tier champ standard.
Said this for a long while he's the player we should have got rid of when we were relegated. Lots of clubs would have paid over the odds for him.

Re: Daniel Farke
This is one metric but you could probably devise one that made him look better. Thats the problem with stats. And the points lost angle is completely daft as you have to apply it to every player on the pitch and create a balanced season long viewpoint. To say Meslier will cost us promotion is impossible to prove same as saying recruitment will/has cost us promotion. Completely unprovable.ElKapitan wrote: ↑Sat Jan 11, 2025 10:23 am PSxG-GA is the stat that assesses saves he should/shouldn't have saved... -0.04...... Honestly with the budget, sales and size of Leeds if we aren't promoted this season I'd like like to see Farke gone.....
The waxing lyrical over Bamford/Meslier is pathetic at this point. Not saying to throw them under the bus but anyone with any interest in data can see that Meslier/Bamford shouldn't be anywhere near a promotion worthy squad.

Me neither tbh but reading fan views from other sides like Norwich etc who he's managed before he relies on quality rather than his managing ability. Why he has failed totally at prem level.... What corberan did with West From on their budget was brilliant. Adapts to the situation where Farke doesn't.
Wing play every time when we have no one with physicality to get on the end of a cross and in general a small squad. Not convinced.... Very little squad depth out of choice.
What I predict will happen is like last season we'll pick up one or two key injuries and end up in the playoffs where we'll bottle it.

Just have to hope for a better outcome than last season.
Is all that matters.

Daniel Farke is only the third Leeds United manager to win a match by 7+ goals, along with Dick Ray (three times) and Don Revie (six times).

Re: Daniel Farke
Best away performance under him?
Genuinely pleased with that performance, alleviated some fears about this away form.
Gruev and Tanaka may be a bit negative when we are struggling away but an early goal and can see why he does it.
Fair play Farker
