A good win that. Exactly the type of January game champions win. Nothing flashy, give the oppos nothing to get giddy about and everyone goes home happy with the points, rather than the performance.

Commentators mentioned that Leeds have let in 3 goals from corners in 28 games.

That makes 3/28x100=10.7%

That would mean 1 goal from 10 corners. Leeds had 9 corners and what do you know didn't score any goals. Norwich had 4 corners and what do you know didn't score either.

These are the facts so I don't want any more talk about being frightened by corner kicks. Relax. Get it into your heads scoring goals from corners is a rare occurrence, any more talk about defending corners or scoring from corners, and it is the naughty step for you.

Good win, without needing to get out of first gear. Bogle motm for me, did a lot of hard grafting in defence. Best bit of the night was Gruev doing 40 mins, he needed that. Tanaka v lucky not to be sent off, especially with that card happy ref.

Farke

Was perhaps it was not the most exciting game or performance. We were too solid and dominant i defending, we didn't give a chance away.

Not out of set-pieces. We also scored an early goal. When we are on the lead we nromally win a game. We were a bit slow in the head and we could have dominated the game even more. The pitch was not great today.

Last game was two and a half days ago, it wasn't out best performance today. Pretty mature.

We could and should have scored earlier to make iy 2-0. Once that came... we culd relax more. It was then a controlled performance, not the most shining one.

An important three points.

Unchanged side

It was due to the fact we had three nights at home, no need to travel. The time to Monday is also enough time to recover.

Some might have thought massive game on Monday but I wanted to send the message that this was an important game.

Manor only managed to train with us yesterday and this monting. His scan was OK. I was thinking I coild rest him for the last 25 minutes and this is what happened.

We are always a bit nervous.

Tanaka and Byram off

Was it for yellow cards? It was for many reasons. Was always the case not to let Byram [play the whole game].

"Tanaka, first season in English football, perhaps a little bit naive. For that we had two yellow carded players on the pitch, so that was the main reason, in addition that they need to rest. And Gruev Firpo to have more minutes.

Just a win, win, win situatio

Bamford

I ahvemt' spoken to sports scitce today But looks like it'll last a little bit longer. About two weeks until he's back in team training.

Of course we have to stay awake in the market. He sadly an injury so we have to stay awake but we are not in panic mood. When he comes back we have three really good strikers.

Firpo

I don't think we'll be successful on Monday becasue there will be a tactical genuis or do the unexpected again.

Junior is a very important player for us. He was six weeks away and he needs minutes. Good going forward today. Sometimes he could have acted quicker and on the duels. The minutes will definitely help him.

If Junior is back to his top fitness level he is a really good option at left-back.

Farke on being animated

Sometimes you under estimate an opponent and I felt we could react quicker, to be more tdy on the ball.

It was not our best performance. I wanted to make sure the standard did not drop.

Norwich

They are one of the best possession sides in this league. Norwich are a good side, happy with thte three points.

Tanaka red?

For me it was never a situaiton where Ao should be sent off. When should a player not be allowed to play on.

Does he deserve to be sent off due to two fouls? I don't think so. I think first yelow was a bit doubtful.

Bogle

Best right-back in the Championship? I think in the past 10 games he has been my player of the match.

What he is delivering right now is unbeleiable. Top class charcater and a great teammate. Defensive and going forward.

Any exits?

No. You can never rule anything out. We dont hve the biggest group in terms of numbers, we can't allow these numbers [to drop].

I don't expect one single player to leave.

Got home from jury duty and started the broadcast up when the game was about an hour old.

Just another day at the office.

Held Norwich to zero shots on target. They never once looked like scoring.

Massive game Monday. Let's get to it.

On to Burnley
The thing is that we analyse our performances, despite the win, yet Sheff U win and it doesn't matter how sh*t they played. If we were playing as poorly as Sheff U then the critiicism would be more justified but we are winning matches and deservedly doing so.

Nobody recalls our performances from last January just that we won a load of matches in a row. You look back now at that run and forget the last minute winner in a scrappy game etc.

Quite right OB, professional is the word, control possession and the game, just do what it says on the tin and get the 3pts.
No over-exertion and move on to the next.
Sounds like controlled could be another. I wouldn't know really, i missed it through work

Professional & controlled pretty much sums the game up Trigger, always the fear that they sneak a goal at 1-0 but once it went 2-0 it sucked any life out of them.

The technology to turn off the commentary and leave the sound effects from the ground is available but the tv companies will not allow it. All it would involve is putting the option on one of the coloured buttons - simples !!

Someone mentioned a few games ago, that the games at Elland Road are just the same games but with the opposition playing in different coloured kits.

Couldn’t agree more, that was pretty dull watch last night.
