I was there too.1964white wrote: ↑Mon Jan 20, 2025 2:30 pm I was there, Dave.
Byram's debut season, he was consistently good amongst the dross in 2012/2013
I recall saying on our coach journey to the match, there is no way we'll beat Spurs with the likes of Peltier, Lees, Brown, Green & Reg Varney in our team.
How wrong could I be?
Varney opens the scoring & McCormack scores a cracking 2nd goal.![]()
What a memorable day!
Sam Byram

Re: Sam Byram thread
Doubt it's a coaching role? Decent signing. I bet he's only on $10k a week so a no brainer for a guy that will bleed for the club and he never lets you down

15 k last season, you'd expect a 5k riseVictor_Notts-17 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 08, 2026 5:55 pm Doubt it's a coaching role? Decent signing. I bet he's only on $10k a week so a no brainer for a guy that will bledd for the club and he never lets you down![]()

Re: Sam Byram thread
Then that's even better for him but I expect if they had offered him £12.5k a week he'd have taken it for 2 years...

I’m very happy to have Sam still involved going forward whatever the plan is, Leeds through and through.

Re: Sam Byram thread
It confused me for a while mate.
I think the initial thread was titled Sammy Byram for some strange reason.

£1.3 Million just to sit on the bench. Let he go and look at U21's
Leeds need a great summer 2026 with outgoings and incoming players

He makes up the numbers for the "Homegrown talent" he also is a steady enough go too type of player when required, never let us down.
Also think he is heading into a coaching role at some point.
