Our play was far from error-free, as we came down to Derby's level at times.

The rams are not much better than a League One outfit, I believe they created one chance to score in the two games against us. We created so many chances, but lacked composure, with shots that would have scored points in a rugby match.

Our subs & Aaronson won that game for us. Class that wasn't evident in the first-half apart from Gnonto who was very lively.
It was vital we didn't concede from a set piece and Jospeh played his part in that by getting right in the thick of it. For example when Millwall scored and we lost then Piroe and Rothwell were stood watching from the edge of our box. If you get chance to watch the game again then keep an eye out for Joseph when defending those set pieces last night.

I think for the first time in memory our strength in depth is paying rewards. To bring on the type of player we are able right now is why we are growing whilst our rivals are (hopefully) falling behind. I felt for the Derby defenders last night when we took off our front line and replaced them with equal or better (with perhaps one exception ;-) ;-) ). No other club in the championship can do that.

Being able to rotate, as you say, means a strong fresh squad. It’s just a shame there’s an international break coming up.

Patience was the key for me last night.

Hopefully the international break won't be as disruptive as the one last season which saw our welsh players having to play gruelling games and then suffer from the penalty shoot out. This time round I am guessing the matches won't be as important.

I remember the clearance Jammy, I applauded Mateo at the time he made the clearance.

Just about to watch the game shortly.

We're still not resting Rodon and that became an issue last season. The break is not likely to help either as he's likely to start two? games for Wales?

We had the four wingers last season, equal if not slightly better as a unit.. Cry better than Solomon, James, Gnonto are the same, then it's Anthony, who is a very good championship winger v Ramazani.

Our forwards are the same three.

He started well in his first six games, but his form dropped quickly. Only one goal in 570 minutes of play since the 22nd October.

We've seen this with so many young players previously, who flatter to deceive.
My comment was just that he was decent - especially in the first half. He lacked composure in the couple of chances he had and isn't offering the final product we need. But his first half contributions were good.

I used the word "decent" because too many want to jump to extremes in the striker debate. If you listen to enough people, they're all terrible and need need flogging.

More errors made than usual in this match.

50 to the 70th minute was really scrappy.

Too many silly fouls committed.

Took us eight minutes to get our subs on, created our two best moves of the game once they were on the pitch.

It was funny when Strujik took a quick throw while the subs were waiting. I saw him gesture an apology to whoever was giving him a hard time on the side line.

Young squad. Slim pickings. Meslier as a vice captain too.

More obvious senior players in Bamford, Guilavogui, and Darlow don't play but probably have a bigger role behind the scenes

Look where Aaronson made his intelligent run from --- ten yards outside Derby's box.

And what a composed finish.

Can anyone get a video of the long passing sequence before the goal ??

As soon as Soloman received the ball, Aaronson made his clever run.
