re the £10m extras that I mentioned...that was actually euros/swiss franks, and it was just under 10m, so it's closer to £8m and some spare change.

Would be worth a shot, but sadly he wants to live in Germany.
Even Switzerland was too far away from his family, in the northern part of Germany.

The guy was pure class though.
He did what I think Marsch is trying to do at Leeds, but without the 'USA! USA! USA!' histrionics that I think spell the downfall of Marsch, at Leeds at any rate.

He had empathy and everyone wanted to play for him. Not just play for him, but be part of the team, even from the bench.
It was amazing to watch. We were mediocre for 4 seasons before he came, he then made us Champions, and now that he's left we're bottom of the League! You couldn't make it up!

Another story on Gnonto...

when he first came to Zurich we played away in Geneva, and due to an injury to Kramer, a big, muscly centre-forward that had been picked for this game, Willy came off the bench at half time.

Zürich were winning comfortably 2-0 at this stage, and I/we all thought that this would get easier, as Kramer wasn't 1st choice, so there was no real loss there. If anything an improvement.

Servette Geneva started the 2nd half very aggressively, and scored after 60 mins., and after that it's was 'backs to the wall' stuff.

Sadly Gnonto was wasted in this formation, as we had 2 forwards on the pitch at this time, so Gnonto was sacrificed for a more defensive left wing-back. Willy left the pitch in tears, and had to be consoled by the bench and the staff there.

We held out for a 2-1, and our Boss at the time, Breitenreiter, explained the decision was because Gnonto had already picked up a card just after coming on, and he said he didn't want to take the risk of playing with 10 men, etc., but we'd all seen ( even Willy, I guess ) that he'd had a bad day.

He is certainly 'passionate', as we've seen with his outbursts at the refs, etc., in the last few games, and if he can keep that under control and challenge it positively, well...the sky is the limit

Sinisterra won’t be a starter yet I suppose. He’ll have to play somewhere else as you not going to mess with Gnonto. Hasn’t he popped up on the right a few times. Willy I mean?

Yep, quality all round on the night from the attackers, even got the playing out from defence right for Gnonto's second. All 5 goals were quality, all 5 had clean assists, (which I like to see, Cardiff had no assists,) no luck involved and Cardiff didn't make any errors. It really doesn't matter who you're playing.

Really enjoyed watching the second Gnonto goal back. Great team goal and Roy Keane talking about the skill involved in what Gnonto does on the finish.
Compared it to OGS and Earnshaw saying he always practiced that through the defenders legs finish.
