He is backed by substantial money, not sure how personally wealthy he is. At least that is the trending best info.

I'm optimistic but I'm not going to get carried away after years of Ridsdale/Bates/GFH/Cellino. However, general opinions on him would appear to be good. Certainly a significant step up from what we have had previously.

Leeds United owner Massimo Cellino is expected to ratify a 50 per cent sale of the club to Italian businessman Andrea Radrizzani this week.

Radrizzani, who acted as an adviser on the sale of Inter Milan to Chinese owners Suning, began negotiations with Cellino in August and was at the recent Championship match with Newcastle United, alongside his company's head of investments and strategy Andre Tegner and associate Marco Auletta.

He has negotiated a 50 per cent share with Cellino which is understood to include an option to buy the remaining 50 per cent should Leeds stay in the Championship.

It's an unusual clause - unless it's to cover MC because of his promises if we fail to do certain things this season.

I wondered about that but it depends whether MC wants out or wants to remain if we do get promoted.
It's just that 50% ownership by 2 parties indicates there could be a scenario where nobody has the final say in any situation - that's the unusual part for me.

Whatever happens, we need to get Monk in a much better contract situation before somebody else realizes what a gem he's been and promises him the earth. Without his influence this season we may likely have been doing business as in the last several lacklustre seasons.

Finally, when there are signs that we could go all the way to the Premier League with money to survive and prosper, we get another hiccough.
I'm still not blaming MC because, although we know him to an extent, we don't know Radrizzani.
How in the heck could 50% ownership ever have worked anyway.
