Cellino been far to quiet for something not to be going on. Whether it is a partial sale of shares, or a full buy out.

Anyone know whether Andrea Radrizzani has the kind of money we would need? MC is OK but he just didn't seem to have the dosh. The last thing we need is another chancer with deep pockets and short arms.

He is backed by substantial money, not sure how personally wealthy he is. At least that is the trending best info.

From Aidan Revie (The Don's Grandson and Duncan's son) on Waccoe:

"I think it is more than safe to assume whatever the mechanisms for who pays what, to whom and when are within the contracts. There is not going to be a re-negotiation next summer, simply a case of seeing which contractual clauses have been triggered. Rad is something we haven't had before, a very very good, and proven, businessman. All of this will have been squared away."

"I can only go on the fact that dad really liked him, I know several people who worked for him, or who have had business dealings with him, and liked him.

Oh, and this one is the clincher - He started a company in 2006 that by 2015 was valued at over 1 billion. Now that's not me saying the guy is a billionaire, it's me saying that shows he is a seriously, seriously good businessman. You don't just fluke your way to that, you have to have something about you. He also managed that in one of the most cutthroat industries going. Pure logic would dictate he is not some potless chancer. There is no owner in our recent history that has 1/10th of his CV."

I'm optimistic but I'm not going to get carried away after years of Ridsdale/Bates/GFH/Cellino. However, general opinions on him would appear to be good. Certainly a significant step up from what we have had previously.

More details emerging.....

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/footba ... paign=1490
Leeds United owner Massimo Cellino is expected to ratify a 50 per cent sale of the club to Italian businessman Andrea Radrizzani this week.

Radrizzani, who acted as an adviser on the sale of Inter Milan to Chinese owners Suning, began negotiations with Cellino in August and was at the recent Championship match with Newcastle United, alongside his company's head of investments and strategy Andre Tegner and associate Marco Auletta.

He has negotiated a 50 per cent share with Cellino which is understood to include an option to buy the remaining 50 per cent should Leeds stay in the Championship.

So they only have an option to buy MC out if Leeds stay in the Championship - let's hope it doesn't need to be invoked!
.
It's an unusual clause - unless it's to cover MC because of his promises if we fail to do certain things this season.

Looks straightforward to me as the value of the club would rise significantly if we got promoted.

I wondered about that but it depends whether MC wants out or wants to remain if we do get promoted.
It's just that 50% ownership by 2 parties indicates there could be a scenario where nobody has the final say in any situation - that's the unusual part for me.

Whatever happens, we need to get Monk in a much better contract situation before somebody else realizes what a gem he's been and promises him the earth. Without his influence this season we may likely have been doing business as in the last several lacklustre seasons.

Massimo apparently now only wants to sell 48% which is causing a problem

Finally, when there are signs that we could go all the way to the Premier League with money to survive and prosper, we get another hiccough.
I'm still not blaming MC because, although we know him to an extent, we don't know Radrizzani.
How in the heck could 50% ownership ever have worked anyway.
