had no established system of play.
played his favorites no matter what form they were in
never connected with the fan base
cluelessly tactically
all about himself, it will now be "Stevie Gerrard's Leeds"
bought expensive players who are not that good

Re: Leeds Utd v Aston Villa Match Thread - Cooper returns to starting XI

watching the city united game just makes me a bit depressed when thinking about our game in a few minutes. Not even miles, just a different stratosphere that we are. City are just that much better than everyone else Just completely surprised that Tyrone Mings is the only player to somewhat nullify H...

Re: Today's Games

thank goodness for our new VAR overlords, those at the top will be given penalties when they need them most and no VAR checks

Absolute joke today with all the 4 of United City Chelsea and Liverpool given these PKs

Re: Aston Villa Thread

Steven Gerrard and Ralph Hassenhuttl are in the frame according to the ever reliable John Percy Not exactly world beating names It's very interesting at this time, there's not really any high profile managers out there/available for teams and yet 5 teams have already made changes. Hasenhüttl would ...

Highly doubt he'd be in frame, considering he apparently was let go for encouraging Mr. Grealish to leave the club

Re: Aston Villa Thread

Have a habit of doing that tbf, overpaying, have for years. They paid £28mil rising to £33mil for Ollie Watkins, Southampton just paid £15mil for Adam Armstrong, scoring wise, goal contribution wise, age wise, practically identical at Championship level, yet Villa paid twice as much. CJay i think y...

Re: Aston Villa Thread

I think most players would be the same and have no real allegiance once they start playing. Plus as a developing footballer would you rather work under Pep or stay at Villa where you aren't likely going to improve as much under Dean Smith. Pep could turn him into the heartbeat of the City and Engla...

Re: Aston Villa Thread

Harsh to criticise JG for the timing as he wouldn't have wanted to be discussing any transfer during the euro thingy. Plus it would have been the 2 clubs that have meant it has dragged on this long - would imagine once the fee has been agreed then the medical and contract negotiations would be fair...

Re: Aston Villa Thread

Think he is a bit of a snake tbh. The whole PR spin last summer when he signed his new deal was hollow. Common knowledge he wanted to join Manure and would have if they had actually bid and he wanted to join Spurs few years before. He is also a Manure fan, pretty open about it in the past tbf altho...

Re: Aston Villa Thread

Maybe. Strange one because that isnt the definition of a done deal and would look really foolish if Bailey said no or failed the medical? Especially if he said no so you would assume that maybe everything is agreed in principle just not signed. weird, maybe as you say he is away and cant physically...

Re: Aston Villa Thread

1421478520157581317 Good signing signing that tbf, although "subject to him completing a medical and finalising personal terms", not a done deal then? Would be a good siging though. It's very weird, we announced Buendia in the same fashion.... maybe it's because he is still coming back fr...
