Problem we have with the give it to Rafa give it to Nuno appointment is they rely on small margins.

Teams get chances but you limit them best you can and then you nick the goal on the very limited chances you create

We are no where near clinical enough.

Our players need multiple chances to score.

So we are likely to get a few draws but wins would be very hard to come by.

Our squad doesn't fit that way.

Said it before Jesse was sacked

I can fully see it being Gerrard

Orta loved him at Rangers (per Phil).

And they will lean heavily into Gary Mac as a way to appease the fans.

Just had a look at Benitezs Everton side results. Apart from against Man City, they were getting 10-15 shots every match.

Marsch in talks with SH now.

Must be rolling in it.

Fired from Leipzip and then us.
My reckoning is that he is paid up to around 2030 and will now get another contract

Get the Rangers fans on here. The general consensus was Beale was the boss and it fell apart for Villa when he left. Looks like a mega risky appointment

Think either would just bring clarity with how we play rather than the mystery surrounding what Jessie took 11 months to try and instil. Even if we did play more on the break we would still get chances and maybe better ones than those we struggle to engineer with possession.

Funny how quite a lot of Soton fans on their forum saying we didn’t dislike Marsch and thought he’d done a reasonable job. According to Leeds fans they know from work etc.

11.9 which is about mid table but it's lower than Marsch and we struggled to score with him

Funnily enough 11.9 is exactly what Newcastle had in there first season back from promotion

Dropped to 11.7 following season

And both seasons they conceded more chances per game on average than they created.

It's fine margins stuff that can easily go the wrong way.

And with a squad not built for it the risk grows.

They were about to appoint the Dutch Jesse

Risky is fine with them

Big name which Radz will love

It can go both ways though

If you look at my post on Newcastle for Rafa it was fine fine margins

They were conceding more chances per game than they were creating.

That can easily go the wrong way.

Yes I agree. No more than the end of the season though - he isn’t the manager to build on if he managed to keep us up.
The fact is we need more than Skub and the other 2 to coach a squad properly
Because of Gerards playing career he will command respect from the players.

But it is an appointment that isn’t without risk of a fans backlash if doesn’t hit the ground running. No point appointing him before the Everton fixture as it will motivate them even more.

Errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Coarse it won't be Gerrard. If it is then we are guaranteed to finally get Clarke Kent. I'm in panic mode after hearing Fat Sams name mentioned. I have had a change of heart get the fat spanish waiter in now until the end of the season. I want to hear him talk about facts again. We should give him the job because he was the only manager ever to tell the truth about the bias towards mu. Fact!
