P. We came away unscathed and a clean sheet…

N. But dropped a couple of points in the process.
Palace matched us in defence and midfield and had they made better decisions, could have nicked it.

Positive: Big Tarik, but he'll probably be off to Barcelona next summer
Negative: Still relying on players who aren't good enough from the bench. It was far too easy to get in behind us, a better side would batter us.

N: Listened to it on the radio and we sounded poor.

To be fair though it is good that we picked up a point despite playing poorly. Monday a lot went our way, double deflection, loose pass etc.

negative - never had control of the game and were second best in most departments ( neither side had any cutting edge up front). substitutions made no difference and shame we only saw 90 seconds of bahoya.

P: We got a point and move up to fifth in the league.

N: A dreadful performance; DCL missed two very good chances from no more than five yards. No pressing, far too many loose passes and the substitutions seemed to me to make matters worse. Another performance like that and we will be lucky to get away with 5-0 at Arsenal.

N- Ref should of booked CP players a lot earlier, the same team as we beat Newcastle but our passing was poor and we were bossed by CP despite having 3 in midfield

P - as others have said 5th brilliant,Trafford another decent game worth the money paid.

N- I thought we were out muscled in midfield even more so when aaronson and James came on DCL was poor today ,didn't look like we could score today very late changes by farke as usual .

Unfortunatley I couldn't watch it so purely on stats:

+ That is one loss in the last 14 PL games, we are becoming really hard to beat.

Currently on 1.8 pts per game that would have been 68 points last season, giving a comfortable 4th position finish.

I do think we all underestimated Palace. As Farke said pre-match, they had luck go against them a few times - were the better team against Everton. Couple that with our big win at Newcastle and the shallow media looking for clicks, had us now a dead cert for Europe.

When we all calm down, what happened was we played a good team after coming off a high under the ER lights and played with lead boots.

Lets just take the point, learn from it and aim to be better next time round. Stringing players up after 5 games is a bit stupid frankly.
