Welcome to the MOT 'Guess The Crowd' Comp for 2022/23 Season

I hope I'm not treading on Norm's toes and hoping that he's good and well, but given the radio silence I've picked this one up.

Didn't happen for the 2021/22 season, but I'm proposing a few changes for the 2022/23 season.

Firstly, Away games will be included, rather than Home games only.

All the cup games also included - so think anywhere between (for example) an away at Boreham Wood to an away at Man U.

Rather than just the nearest picking up a point I'm going with scoring as follows:
Spot on - 25pts (unlikely, but it has been done, once !)
Nearest - 5pts
2nd nearest - 2pts
3rd nearest - 1pt
(In the (likely) absence of a spot on exact guess a bonus of 10pts will be awarded to the player/s with the nearest guess over the course of the whole season)

Good point, Hector…..there really ought to be and I say that as (I think) the only person to ever get a bang on the money, exact correct guess in this comp, two or three seasons ago now……..and all I got was 1pt, the same as if I was 500 out, but still the nearest.

We’ll go for a 25pts bonus for a spot on correct guess.

(That might seem low for such an unlikely eventuality, but making it 50 or 100, would effectively kill the comp for the rest of the season, as no-one else would have any hope of catching that person).

Also, in the (likely) absence of a spot on exact guess, I’ll award a bonus of 10pts to the player with the best/nearest guess over the course of the whole season.
