Here is another MLS Striker to consider. Polish International ADAM BUKSA. The 25 year old has scored 30 goals in 70 apps for New England Revolution. And he has 5 goals in 7 apps for Poland since his first call up in 2021.

I know many of you don't rate MLS as a League. Mostly because you are unfamiliar with it I think. I'm bringing some of these names up because I know most you are not familiar with them. But there is some really good young talent in the league. Buksa is a full Polish International that was getting capped in WCQ.

Reports coming out that whilst Florian Grillitsch was originally someone seen as a potential replacement for Kalvin Phillips, that is no longer the case.

We may want to sign him regardless of what happens with KP.

Absolutely ideal he would be, we desperately need specialists in that role Marsch uses in Cm and Florian Grillitsch fits the bill.

He is a big strong lad as well which is something we lack in midfield.

Combative and tough but with great ability to read the game he isn't just a rough and ready midfield destroyer.

He is a technically good player able to carry the ball forward through midfield with his dribbling skills and progress play forward with his passing range.

He is imo a must sign as him and KP would be a formidable 2 in Cm and in Jesse's narrow system you need to control the midfield.

Been linked again with Argentinian MLS goal machine Valentin Castellanos.

West Ham seen to be favourites for the 23 year old but we are apparently in the mix.

No expert on him (perhaps Paul could help) but he has 44 goals and 19 assists in just 80 games worth of minutes in the MLS.

Judging by the video he seems to score all types of goals.

Got a trick in him and our previous relationships with Argentinians went well so may be worth a punt?

Furthermore if Nketiah on a free was the limit of our financial capabilities we clearly aren't getting a Daka or Broja or anyone like that so £13mil for Castellanos may be decent business?

Valentin "Taty" Castallanos has continued to develop during his 4 1/2 seasons in MLS. Last year was his big breakout season with 23 goals in 36 matches all competitions. So far this season he has 11 goals in 16 matches. He plays as the featured Striker in Ronny Deila's 4-2-3-1 system. And you are correct he scores all types of goals. A very active forward with excellent technical ability. He does his work in the box. I think he would fit well with the system JM will employ. I expect that to be primarily a 4-2-3-1. Although it may morph into a 4-3-3 once possession is regained and the team moves into attack.

No it's good stuff, you're our man on the ground Paul, we're a club that needs to find bargains and for some reason i trust you more than our resident clown.

Keep up the good work, i'm onside with ya re - Minamino too, the baton is in Jesses hand now, there's big changes ahead.

I'm hoping my jaw is on the floor after the opening game of the new season.

If we go anything other than 4-1-4-1 KP HAS to be sold.

True, he'll be spot on in a Salah role, can't see Leeds being good enough to play 4-3-3, what with our defenders being asked to defend !

Or the Mahrez role at Citeh, like i said earlier, if i was Klopp i'd be seeing how much wonga i could get for Salah now and get Raph in, i'm pretty certain he'll perform well there and in that team he won't be far off Salah and better than Mahrez.

Let's get Burnley raped i say, depending on what Jesse plays, Pope and Cornet will do for starters.

Get Pukki cheap from Naaaarch, there's another Naaarch player in mind too but i've forgot.

Dennis at Watford, probably the pick from them but i think he has a tendency to sulk and down tools when asked to fight, i could be wrong.

MLS has come a long way in the last decade. The best teams are easily Championship-level. Expect Premier League clubs to be raiding their ranks a lot more in the future.

Yes Kenny, the relegated teams have some decent players to offer whom would be very good playing alongside better footballers.

I just read that John Swift has joined West Brom.

On a free!

Great bit of business by them and defo a player who would have been a great squad player for us.

Missed opportunity?
Marsch OUT

Football has undergone a process of bielsification; pressing and possessing, passing rather than dribbling, intercepting high up the field rather than making last-ditch tackles, are in vogue.

Marcelo Bielsa. The light that will never go out.

Been linked with 21 year old 6ft4 Burnley cb Nathan Collins.

Would be a good signing imo.

Bit of old fashioned height and power at the back.

Sell Llorente.

Thanks Kenny! And MLS is a good place to find bargains. Players can usually be purchased for between $5M-10M.

A few players have exceeded that. Alphonso Davies to Bayern Munich for $13M. ($22M after incentives were reached). Ricardo Pepi to Augsburg for $20M. And Miguel Almiron to Newcastle for about $26M.

The level of American players continues to rise. And now more and more talented South American players are choosing MLS as their first foreign league. And that is because MLS clubs are saying please come here. Continue to develop and we will be happy to help you fulfill your dream move to Europe.

Could only dream of finding the next Alphonso Davies. Seems MLS has better left backs than Barcelona
