I've been a Leeds fan since the Revie era....still supported during relegation in the 80s and enjoyed Wilko's era....and then still supported through the double relegation to the 3rd tier. Its been hard sometimes..and so will this time be if we go down after looking like we were back for good....but they will still be my 1st choice.

My 2nd team has been Brentford..once i found out as a teen that they were my closest team....so i'll still have some EPL interest.
But....

"I'll tell you, honestly, I will love it if we beat them, love it!"

I just love to watch good entertaining football whomever it maybe, i don't support anyone but Leeds and my local town/s that i follow the results of.

Leeds all my life and will be till i die, nothing will ever stop me looking for the Leeds team and result first and foremost, no matter what.

With how much enthusiam is for another debate.

I'm jealous as fck but actually love this time of year with all the semi's and finals approaching, If an English side wins the Champions league or involved (but never ever ever ever Scum for anything at all) i'm enthralled watching it, we got Citeh v RM and lpool v Villareal and i can't wait...Lpool v Citeh final...i don't care....RM v Lpool final ...i don't care...but i don't want RM v Villareal final..i want interest in an English side winning it...i want Citeh to win v RM, but i wouldn't mind a Lpool v RM final as long as RM don't win, same atm with West Ham and Leicester i wanna see them win
And i wanna see Lpool take all 4 they're chasing to really piss off Scum fans, it would hurt them sooooooooooooooooo bad they will never recover from it, and that gives me such a warm feeling...i suppose a lot of this comes from being hardly ever Leeds being involved in such.....I had a dream Bert would bring all that back.

On a side note i have a lovely thought of us being bought by a Dubai building company and a gleaming new white kit, with the sponsors name : NEARENOUGH CONSTRUCTION LTD...emblazoned on it, just a thought.

As for watching other teams and supporting them ...i can't put into words or know if there are enough words to describe how i feel when Scum are playing any sort of important game and the enthusiam and support i have for the other team, any fcking team..i get immense enjoyment from their suffering, i love them getting knocked out of absolutely anything, i love watching them get beat if it's a decent Champions league game or any cup match....and if i'm not watching them get beat, my heart actually skips a beat if a result or latest score pops up where someone like Watford are fcking doing them over.

That's where i get my other pleasures from if not Leeds.

I'm amazed that most people on this forum don't seem to live in Leeds ? I've lived here all my life I'm about 6 miles from ER.

I can't believe that fans are still going on about El Loco. Yes he performed a miracle getting us promoted but it's his stubbornness and stupidity, believing in his own hype, that will take us back down. His legacy will be to take us back to where we started, he may as well not have been here at all.

Born & bred in Leeds, left Leeds as a 24yo in the late 70s due to work, since then I've worked in the South West, South East & Manchester. We moved to rural East Yorkshire in 2000.

Every home game is a 130 miles travel & the away games are huge distances for me

Could never live in a city again after living rurally for over 35 years, we have the best of both worlds here with the coast not too far away. A walk along Bridlington seafront imminent at about 8.45am today :-D

Same as me - just replace late 70s with late 80s. I moved to London when I was 24.

I still go to Leeds regularly as my father still lives there. I have to say that the city centre isn't that nice - north Yorkshire is a lot better vibe wise. I'm not sure that the last 40 years or so has made Leeds a better place - just a different place.

In the YEP they do a regular feature on how Leeds looked in different eras. One picture taken I think in the early 1970s outside John Lewis shocked me a bit, as people shopping on a Saturday looked well dressed and smart. Some men still wore jackets. It was still a proud working class city at that time - I'm not sure what it is now....

Now when I think of the city of Leeds I tend to have a mental picture of people with trendy beards and sunglasses driving around in flash Audis, BMWs or Mercs thinking they are James Bond. Most of these flash cars are purchased on dodgy finance deals, but hey it's how you look that matters....When I was in my 20s the only people with beards were George Michael and the Yorkshire Ripper

Just measured....its a 12006 mile round trip for me 😳😂🤣
Thankfully streaming is easy over here..no hassle from IPs etc.
Last time i saw Leeds..was indeed Brentford at Griffin Pk in 2009..and then Elland Rd in 2010.... 0-0 and 1-1.

Was there on Friday evening with our dog. Beautiful 😍
Like yourself having lived in Leeds for most of my life now living rurally and I could never see myself living in a city again.

"Leeds Utd is for life, not just for the Premier League" Saw this the other day and it made me smile. Couldn't and wouldn't support any other club. There have been times (many times!) in my 40+ years as a supporter when I haven't liked Leeds very much, but I always have and always will love this club. Once it's in your blood, there's no walking away.

WF postcode Tyzy......?

Is that a Wakey postcode. I'm a Wakey lass....born in Walton Hall, grew up in Lofthouse Gats, went to work in the middle east for a while where I met Mr Swan. He's an Ipswich chap so I now live down here in Suffolk.

Elland Road was about 20 mins from where I lived in Lofthouse....through the back roads :)

My 91 year folks now live in Sandal so I'm up in Wakey every 4 weeks (for a week) to see them....
