John in Louisiana wrote: ↑Tue Aug 24, 2021 5:21 pm Charlie Watts was the perfect drummer for the Rolling Stones, making him, in my estimation, one of the best drummers ever as the Rolling Stones are one of the best bands ever (in my top three, actually).

He will be sorely missed.

What a sad week

Lee 'Scratch' Perry the master of reggae has passed away aged 85yo

Perry was one of Jamaica’s finest and most unpredictable record producers, as well as a much recorded singer. But perhaps his greatest global legacy was the profound effect he had on Bob Marley.

RIP Scratch 8-)

Ever so sad this.

Singer and actress Sarah Harding has passed away from breast cancer.

She was only 39 years old

I saw this earlier Cjay and was going to post it up myself. A lovely girl, my fave of the Girls aloud. Although I wasn't a massive fan, their ( and especially Sarah's ) performance on Dancing on Ice when they came down on a platform from the ceiling singing The Promise was brilliant. 39 years old, so sad

Far too young to lose ones life.

Condolences to her family & friends.

RIP Sarah.

Michael K Williams has left us. Omar Little from The Wire, and other shows, for those who don’t know him. The Omar character was ground breaking. A terribly sad loss at the relatively young age of 54.

Albert "Chalky" White from Boardwalk Empire, my favourite show

Spent the last few weeks rewatching that with just 1 episode to go.

He was brilliant in it, so very sad.

MKW was very open about his struggles with drug addiction, seems they finally got the better of him. Damn shame, he was a tremendous actor, added something to everything he was in.

Agreed Cjay.
Boardwalk Empire was brilliant. I've watched the whole thing twice.

Jimmy Greaves has passed away after a long illness . He deserves a thread of his own . A truly great player .
