Apologies for the delay. I hadn't heard, or even heard of, the lion's share of these records. Still have a few left to go. Should have my vote in tomorrow.

I personally thought 2020 was an excellent year, so many albums I enjoyed in the current poll.

The Sault albums were a late godsend for me to go alongside my other favourites album from Nadia Reid/Strokes/Earle, four totally different genres of music.

Perhaps the surprise success was 'Ghosts Of West Virginia' a very fine album from Steve Earle a prolific singer/songwriter over the last five decades.

Unlucky John & thank you for nominating another Earle album to my collection

NOMINATE NOW

[1964white]

Who is going to nominate the winning album?

[billie1]

So many to choose from and hard to believe they’re all 50 years old now !

Led Zeppelin 4 is my nomination

[onemoreslogan]

Blue from Joni for me

[John in Louisiana]

Who's Next.

Nothing else comes close in what was a great year for music. Every song is a classic.

Blue would have been my second choice, but........

Hunky Dory, Allmans at Fillmore East, Imagine, What's Going On, Tapestry................

Muswell Hillbillies, Sticky Fingers.........

What a year.

[1964white]

Who's Next.

That's the winner I suspect.

Glad you have manage to nominate 'Who's Next' as you are a huge fan John

[1964white]

Marvin Gaye 'Whats Going On'

[Mrs64]

Carole King 'Tapestry'

Fantastic John , all great albums . I also had Miles ‘s Jack Johnson and Janis Joplin’s Pearl on my short list and there’s probably a whole lot more .

Who’s Next is an absolute classic !

[Muppet the Cat]

David Bowie 'Hunky Dory' .......which contains probably my favourite Bowie track - Song for Bob Dylan

.....closely followed by Sabbath's 'Master of Reality' (but picked Sabbath for 1970) and T. Rex 'Electric Warrior'

[hector]

Marvin Gaye 'Whats Going On'

That isn't the winner
