Maybe it was for me a couple of decades ago, listening to it this morning felt like a album I was hearing for the first time.

I love going back to old album & feeling a buzz :)

Some options for 2019 as can't decide between

Alcest 'Spiritual Instinct'
The Dream Syndicate 'These Times'
Purple Mountains 'Purple Mountains'
Black Pumas 'Black Pumas'

Think it's between TDS and PM :duno:

I have a short list of about 30 albums but with it only a year since Cave walked the 2019 best album poll with Ghosteen it's probably a foregone conclusion

Well, it'll be 0pts from me - can't stand him !

As for what wins, it's usually the first one posted up !! (would be interesting to see how many times that has happened) which would support your prediction.

Hey Cat

I posted up the Cave album up 80 minutes after I set-up the current poll, the topic was drifting halfway down the front page so I thought I'd bump it up.

I have fifteen Cave albums so there was always a good chance I would choose 'Ghosteen'. Tbh I'll probably prefer The Delines 'The Imperial' album, one I had forgotten about until Jill prompted me.

If anyone wants 'Ghosteen' they can have it, I'm quite happy to nominate another album

64 - I was not at all being critical of you picking the NC album, merely making the observation that whichever album is picked first, more times than not (I'd guess) wins. So absolutely no need for you to withdraw your pick.

You could give me 100 picks and NC still wouldn't feature :)

After all the beauty of the thread is discovering 'new' to you albums others have put forward.....not the winning - although none of us would want our nominations to come last every time :)

Hanging outside a window by your toes whilst naked, in the midst of an arctic winter would be more enjoyable than listening to another Nick Cave Album

And I have only listened to 1 of them once...

So glad I have the dignity not to slam some of the artists/albums nominated on here that are not my taste :)

I can cherry pick the odd track but would struggle to find an albums worth...
