Can't complain. Nerves played a big part I reckon, for the defence at the beginning and attackers towards the end. Glad we could settle into our usual game as the half went on.

No real qualms about going in HT 1 down, Sterling was always going to cause us problems but we've had chances of our own and there's plenty left in this yet.

Should have scored, as should Dallas earlier after Roberts lovely touch pass. Ayling gave the keeper a chance and he took it..

Not the latter part of the half, quick on the break yes, but not running riot

Mendy had both arms hugging Costa at one point right in front of the linesman and nothing..

Could have been 1-1, shame - don’t think Ayling did much wrong.

Roberts has been ball-watching in the middle, and the play is passing him by, I can’t remember him making a tackle.

At least Costa is trying to get himself involved - Moreno second half might make a difference, we need a bit of bite and vision in the middle when Klich is dropping back.

I didn't see it that way. Apart from the post City missed some glorious open nets, at least two, early.

We looked very jumpy for the first 15 and City came out like blazes. Settling down nicely now though. If they can carry the same rhythm into the second half we might come away with something.

Watching the goal back it was a big error from Cooper

Jack is an important player for us, said we miss him earlier in this thread, same as Pablo.

Our midfield is much weaker without them

Agree. The pass was inspired but it was in Stuart's feet and he ran out of room to push it ahead.

First 20mins was men against boys. It was a welcome to the PL real deal. Credit to the boys tho they have give it a go after that. Make no mistake about it tho the quality (billions) of City is there to see. Shame Ayling couldn't finish that chance just before half time but the keeper stood-up well.

City as expected are breaking into the space in CM when they have the ball. Mendy has run the length of the pitch almost on a few occasions, that shows how much space there is in our midfield at times.

We are still in it a at 1-0..... City would rip any team apart other than Liverpool playing like this. So lets see how it ends. Come on the boys.

Looked like he wanted to hit it with his right, he certainly got a touch.
