It sounds a great deal in every aspect. He sights (playing for one of the best managers in the world) as one of the main reason he decided to come to Leeds. At this rate something tells my Marcelo as a deal in principle if we stay up? He's just signed for 4 years.

JackGiles wrote: ↑Tue Sep 22, 2020 10:45 pm I look at his stats and come up with the following. Llorente's last 8 matches with Sociedad have been 1 on bench - 3 not in squad - played 2, 90mins + 1, 45 mins. All these matches were draws. 29 appearences in 2019/2020, 1 appearence 2020/202. A lot of injuries. I quickly add that he is a Spanish International and was on bench last 2 internationals, read Guillim Ballagues biopic. I am no MB and we all know he is a genius but I can't help but think that the transfer policy is all over the place and he is bidding crazy amounts for players most people have never heard of. I want to believe that he is taking raw talent and moulding them into his tactics but the prices seems too high even for that. I cannot believe the brilliance of his tactics on the pitch but would like to see more younger / cheaper players moulded and some top strikers brought in. What do ye think???????
Sociedad fans are glad to see the back of him and are delighted at the “extortionate” fee they managed to get, we’ll see...

Bielsa is very cautious and particular about who he wants joining his squad and he has considerable connections with the Basque Country, so he knows very well what he has bought in Llorente.

My understanding is that Llorente was played slightly out of position last season which didn’t show him in his best light. Either way, Bielsa is more capable of making a top quality player out of the right character than anyone in the game today. After all we were promoted with a mid Championship table squad all because of his vision and coaching. These signings will work. What we need is time for this to happen.

And not so long ago, Leeds fans would have been glad to see the back of Ayling, Cooper, Costa, Harrison and Bamford to name just a few.

Bielsa identified him as someone who could help the side.

Good enough for me. I'm very glad to see him knowing that, regardless of what some bitter Sociedad fans may have to say.

Another great signing and it's been a tremendous transfer window for us.

Time will tell if these players are the ones we need, but I do think this is a realistic approach.

Spending a fortune on White, Benrahama, Watkins, etc, was not the way to go for me.

I've got faith in Bielsa and our management team now and that's been missing for at least two decades.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

I'm gobsmacked a little at the quality of players we're bringing in. Koch, Rodrigo, and now Llorente. Could never have imagined it. It makes me think that Bielsa really is aiming higher than we think. Champions League qualification after 2 years? Sounds ambitious, but the players we're bringing in are definite CL quality.

It certainly makes one think Andrew, is he looking at settling down for the next (maybe) 5 years in Leeds?... Who knows with him, he may have found his dream retirement home in Leeds ...

I'm thinking the same. Although it only took Wilko 2 years to win the league.

Holding his groin.

Damn. Those injuries take time to heal.

That's a bummer although I reckon Koch & Cooper will start v Wolves a week on Monday so Diego has plenty of time to recover

What I've heard is he hasn't ever suffered a major injury, but has a habit of picking up smaller muscle injuries that sideline for shorter periods.

Cooper has a muscle injury too - so now two injured centre-halves.

Last time he was injured (for the Liverpool game ) it was after coming back from international duty.
