Re: Russell Brand
The trial by media is the thing I hate most, they are guilty before innocent seem to be the case for a long time now which is sad to see.
Celebs in the public eye and in private are two different things,a lot of times it is people who have a greviance against another and that is put in the public domain and over time people believe them but the other side of the coin.
Personally I have no idea if he is guilty or not so can not judge him (I am not privy to stuff behind the scenes) so whatever the outcome is I hope justice prevails for those concerned.

He deserves everything he gets. He thought it was hilarious to phone Andrew Sachs and tell him he'd had sex with Sachs granddaughter.
All the religious s**t is a load of bollocks to try and impress a jury.
There's no doubt that a lot of women were willing to have sex with a famous person, but not all and the trial is all about those who allegedly had it forced on them

Can't stand the tw4t. The religious stuff is just a stunt, nothing more. He has always come across as an obnoxious narcissistic know it all, and now he's into chancing and grifting. The allegations are serious and should not be easily dismissed as he's self labelled himself a sex addict in the past. Let the law take it's process, and if the allegations are true, throw the book at him.

Re: Russell Brand
Everyone seems very quick to condemn the man. Let he who is without sin cast the first stone. I am a man of faith. I believe that we all fall short of the glory of God (it is written). I am sure the man in question has made mistakes and big ones. I am sure there is truth in the accusations. But who are we to condemn him? We have all sinned: every single one of us.
I am not saying what he may have done should be forgiven because he is now Christian. If he is guilty then he should be subject to the punishment of the law. But, give the man a break. He has found his faith and I believe he is genuine. He is certainly articulate and definitelty has the gift of the gab. I used to hate them man and all that he stood for (I too struggled with my faith in the past). The courts will punish him severely if he is guilty and he cannot complain. But the Bible says that if we repent of our sins and we come to have faith in the finished work of Christ Jesus, then we will be saved! That is the action of a loving, giving, merciful and graceful God.
As I said, I am not condoning what he has done (if he is guilty) but time has moved on and he has changed. If guilty he should face the full penalty of the law but I am not condemning him. I don't know what he might have done in the past so I hold my peace.
That's my bit...

Not a big fan of Brand but it strikes me that he doesn't need to force himself on others. The guy has always been a magnet for women
that find him very attractive. To mention him in same breath as Saville is not really fair and the reporting of the case always comes with the headline Sexual Predator plus many other headlines that tarnish the guy with the Rapist tag before his trial is over. I am all for justice being served but his treatment as a defendant through the press is not doing him any favours. If he is found guilty then fair play, but in the meantime I think we need to keep an open mind and not judge him just because he is an annoying little beardo weirdo.
