We do come across like an obsessed ex chasing the same players for yearsCjay wrote: ↑Sat Aug 01, 2026 2:24 pm Graham named him as a target.
Did well at Marseille last season
But is a different type of player to Brandt (more an Okafor replacement type).
And strung us along last summer only to join an inferior league.
Is also the money side, it's far more expensive than Brandt which will take away from other areas.

Re: Igor Paixao - Off to Marseille
Data recruitment will always bring up the same players I suppose.
But Brandt and Paixao are different profiles so makes no sense.

This guy makes me nervous. Obviously talented, but clearly a princess - I dont see him a fit into our squad.
Pavel Sulc is the better choice in my view. He's been left out of Leon's champions league squad for today.??

Igor Paixão feels very much at home at OM and maintains an excellent relationship with Bruno Genesio.
His entourage is clear: he won't leave just to leave and wants a real project in case of departure.
Leeds appreciates his profile, but Frank McCourt wants 50M€ to let the Brazilian go

Do we really need another player who has an unpronounceable name?Cjay wrote: ↑Tue Aug 11, 2026 11:00 am Igor Paixão feels very much at home at OM and maintains an excellent relationship with Bruno Genesio.

Pie-show, it means intense passion or emotion.... Could it be more perfect for Leeds and their fans who love their pies and passionate players

Have to say the pies at Elland Road now are top drawer, highly recommend the Peppercorn Steak one.The Subhuman wrote: ↑Mon Aug 17, 2026 4:26 pm Pie-show, it means intense passion or emotion.... Could it be more perfect for Leeds and there fans who love their pies and passionate people

Not requiring Gluten free, I’ve never asked, but they changed the food supplier last year (I think) and the food took a massive upturn.

Re: Igor Paixao
Now the fashionable gluten free brigade is disappearing, the availability of GF is declining fast. Used to be able to get a choice of a couple of interesting GF cakes at a garden or national trust type property. but you're lucky if you can find a prepackaged generic longlife GF slice of something you get the honour of paying 4 quid for (We're talking size of a jaffa cake bar as opposed to the "I can't eat all that" size of a slice of "homemade" cakeBarlow Boy wrote: ↑Mon Aug 17, 2026 4:45 pm Not requiring Gluten free, I’ve never asked, but they changed the food supplier last year (I think) and the food took a massive upturn.
Same goes for pub food, GF is declining there.. as it is in chippys, there were a couple of chippys that would be GF for one day a week round here but they've stopped doing it..
I'm gonna say 10% chance ER does a GF pie
Everytime I leave the house I have to bring food out with me.. even going to my sisters or a friend's I have to bring food out with me. My sister doesn't even have milk tea or sugar in the house so have to take all that if I wanna cuppa while there

My wife is vegan, and that’s tricky enough, but nowadays she gets a good bit of choice.
You have my sympathy with that, would be a real stinker for us with all the eating out we do.

Latest is Paixao off to Saudi Arabia - if anywhere. Sounds crazy, but Marseille need money.??
I just dont think he'd have been a fit for us.
