Only Coad & White come out of the match with credit, the rest of our bowlers are a complete waste of space.

We wouldn't have acquired 200 runs, let alone the 300 runs we should have got, if not our young kid Bennison's fine innings once again.

Next task is now to avoid relegation.Two "must not lose" matches next in the CC. Lose both, and we are down. Draws are fine, 2 wins and we could be near the top.

Who knows with this inconsistent bunch?

Somerset were dead and buried until Overton came in (did you see that he hasn't scored double figures since) - and letting Notts recover from 1-3 beggars belief. Some of the bowling was poor to say the least - and what was Bess doing bowling donkey drops ?

Yes, I thing from the cup on the whole we can take away a few positives like young Bennison and the return of Coad to form. There was just too many negatives to win the thing when your openers keep failing and we really don't have much depth with the batting. A couple of centuries for Lux earlier in the tournament but he was like a rabbit in the headlights thereafter.

Regardless, yesterday seemed a great opportunity to progress after the early wickets but we really should be scoring more than we did. What was that from Whiteman? Dom Bess sent down a couple of pointless full tosses that both got smashed over the boundary and Hill's missed stumping just about summed it up.

A loss against Hants next week won't decide anything but if we can't beat Leicestershire after then we deserve everything we get. Lyth needs to get some sort of form back but I'll think we'll be alright with the bowling.

Thought it best to wait until the Aussies had finished the second innings but it looks like it will be a historic win for the Tigers sometime tomorrow. I think like England, Australia have wasted a good opportunity to rebuild this year and introduce new blood. Perhaps they don't have any new blood. CA just seem too stuck in their ways lately but if they bring this same aging side over next year, even our lot should see them off and that really is saying something.
