Late for todays stage so I'll go for someone not in the break.

Is the stage winner prediction the only one we need to change daily, as I’ve missed yesterday and today?

Correct. You're no worse for wear though! (nobody has scored any stage winners, yet)

🤣 phew - I’ll watch the highlights tonight and if they preview tomorrow’s stage I’ll do it for stage 4 or I’ll look it up on a website 👍🏻

A decent third stage. Sizable breakaway stayed away for the better part of the day. Valliant effort from Alex Baudin of EF Education-EasyPost, earning himself most aggressive rider for the stage. Ultimately, the peloton closed him down leading to what's become a pretty standard Tadej stage winning formula. His acceleration is truly unmatched.

As for our contest- congrats to Clacton who gets the first stage winner and 10 points awarded.
Narrow miss for John R, who had Seixas come in 4th for the stage.

Stage 4: Carcassonne - Foix
Date: July 7, 2026
Distance: 181.9km
Start time: 13:10 CET
Finish time: 17:34 CET

I think it's safe to say, as long as he doesn't fall off, Pogacer is going to to win this again. He's just toying with the others.

Wish i had not picked Ineos in the team classification.

They are not looking strong this year without Onley and Rodriguez.

Agree but not sure the first few stages have shown us a whole lot. As usual, it will be the high mountains where we really find out. If Jonas has any hope at all, it would be cracking Pog in the Alps later on.

It would certainly keep it interesting but the UAE team is so strong I can't see Visma being able to live with it.

It is crazy how strong they are. Del Toro looks so good. But I do think even with a weaker team, if Jonas can hang on Tadej's wheel in the mountains, let UAE do all the tactical stuff, it will mostly come down to the two of them battling each other to their limit in the high mountaints. That said- I still massively favor Tadej in that scenario. But we have seen Jonas out class him in the high mountains before so not totally writing it off.

Unfortunately was not able to catch much of today's stage, which looked to be a good one. UAE let the break go away and Lidl-Trek had the support in the end to let Mads go for an easy stage win. Will go back and watch some highlights but there looked to be a good amount of breakaway attempts from the initial breakaway.

For our purposes- a blank day.

On to Stage 5. Set up for a bunch sprint finish.

Stage 5: Lannemezan - Pau
Date: July 8, 2026
Distance: 158.3km
Start time: 14:05 CET
Finish time: 17:46 CET
