This hatred for Aaronson is really getting ridiculous. He played an outstanding game today with a goal and an assist (could easily have been one or two more assists), was a giant pain in the neck to Oxford's attack, and distributed the ball really well, yet two of our voters didn't even place him among the top six.

He now has six goals on the season, as many as Rutter had all year last year. He's been at least as good a 10 for us this year as Rutter was last year.

James and Solomon were also outstanding today; I don't have any argument with any of those three at the top. But give Aaronson a break. He came back to Leeds this year and has done all the right things. He's kept his mouth shut, worked as hard as anyone on the club, and has produced on the pitch.

All about opinions john, you obviosly being a yank rate him higher than say I do, he will get bullied for 90+ in the PL, he's too weak , runs about like a headless chicken most games for me.

Nothing about his being an American, at least not for me. All about what he brings to the team. In fact, I think the fact that he's an American has a lot to do with the hatred coming from some of the fans.

He's not playing in the PL, and he's not getting bullied in the Championship.

Thought Aaronson played well today, was stronger on the ball, wasn't bullied as much and took his goal well as well as being quite creative which he isn't always.

But not on the same level as Georgie last season imo.

He still needs to be more creative on a regular basis and be pushed off the ball less (he is the most dispossessed player in the league by a distance).

Tbf I don't think many players would have replaced the impact as an individual Rutter had last season , at times he was absolutely unplayable and won games almost by himself.

I think BA had a good game today and should be praised.

So 2nd in my motm list after Solomon.

But I think he goes missing too often away from home, 75% of his goals or assists have been at home and much like the team, Farke, Aaronson as an individual needs to learn how to cope better away from home when it's not all positive vibes and it's a bit of a fight.

Not saying Aaronson is above criticism. I do think we’ll need an upgrade at the 10 should we go up. But I do think his play has been criticized unfairly because of the way he left the club after the relegation season and also (to a lesser extent) because he’s an American.

He’s been very good for us this year and, even with his shortcomings, is still our best option at the 10. He’s not our best player, but he’s far from our worst and an automatic inclusion in our best eleven.

John - not everyone compares Aaronson to Geo. they are completely different players. Some forget how often he lost the ball last season. I seem to remember 25 times in one game.

I still believe BA will finish the season with comparable stats in goal involvements.
I have been impressed with him this season. If he could show more composure consistently on the ball he would have crazy stats right now.
