Struijk's poor defending which lead to the penalty when should have shown his man the outside was by far the most blameworthy.
Just my opinion but once we're behind away from home we struggle so that moment was key.
Think it's a fair point.
We do have an issue away from home especially same as last season.
But in general when things aren't going well and we are struggling 1st half it's really rare DF is able to change that.
Hence my question on the subs thread, DF is on record for saying managers don't decide matchdays, his work is done middle of the week.
Millwall, Burnley, Bristol City, WBA and now Blackburn.
Swansea is probably only exception to the rule this season.

If away from home we were beaten in a thriller we'd all be more receptive of that than the drab goalless efforts that are currently being served up far too often.
Farke needs to rethink how we approach the away fixtures but my best guess is that he'll probably just double down on the slow possession based style he prefers.

He must know that his away from home tactics are an issue.
It's not a new issue.
His Borussia Mönchengladbach side had the 3rd worst away record in the Bundesliga (6th best home).
We had the worst away record of the top 4 last season.

2nd worst away record in the top 7 this season.
So it's not a new issue for him.
The issue is his reluctance to alter things before slinging subs on in the 70th minute, where are our "horses for courses" tactics ?
Thankfully we'll win more than we lose.

Trouble is so will Sheff Utd, Burnley and possibly Sunderland

The surface, the ref,Farks tactics, late substitutions and my next door neighbour are all good reasons why we suffer from inconsistency !

We feel aggrieved, our lives have been penalised, we suffer a defeat, this should not happen to us, we were top of the league, Blackburn below us, we had the better and more expensive team.
It is an unrealistic expectation to expect your team to win every game, and the communal meltdown after the game reminds me of the Democrats loosing the election... the response far outways the result.
Bielsa lost games, the Don lost games, Farke has lost 3 games, Pep has lost 5.
Fans need to get a grip of themselves, far worse things are happening... like Starmer still in power.
YES Starmer OUT, DF OUT
Leeds need a great summer 2026 with outgoings and incoming players
Despite the defeat the bookies have us at shockingly short odds to finish top at 4to6.The Blades are 4to1,Burnley are 8to1.We have been favs in every league game so far, and odds on except I think Sunderland and WBA.Either someone has lumped on heavily at the season start or the bookies think we are the best thing since sliced bread.Lets hope the bookies are correct.
Another dismal display that is partly down to the players but most importantly the instructions they are given as a game plan.
Now when we saw the game against Luton we all gave DF credit but he has to hold his hands up for this one. No use in blaming the ref its the same for both sides. The fact is we never really got going but instead of recognising that our play was having no effect, it was left until the magical 70 minute mark to throw on last gasp substitutions. What ever happened to anaylising the game and react accordingly. Another 3 points gone and lets hope DF has learnt something, somehow I doubt it.

The issue he has is not realizing all other teams are scared of us and not pushing that advantage. The comparisons with the much slated Southgate are spot on imo. Safety first football with the handbrake on
Farke worries way to much, gives other teams way too much respect, with the most talented, most expensive, highest paid roster in the league and by a distance that's not good
imo.

I have to say, I'm reluctantly coming round to this way of thinking. He seems to prefer ineffective control to potentially successful chaos.
Take no risks, retain possession at all costs and in all situations.

It just seems to be, if we do Plan A, it will work most of the time. It was obvious that the system that worked so well against Swansea and Luton wasn't working against Blackburn. We needed a different set up against Blackburn. A Plan B? I think Farke is working on the basis that Plan A will work more often than it doesn't and will average out at 2 ppg.
Wrongly or rightly? I don't know. It didn't work last season. Although it should have gotten us promoted last season. He's made some adjustments this season. He's added players where we need them and he's been more willing to rest and rotate. Maybe it will work better this season. Our current ppg will get us to 89 points, 1 less than last season, and presumably enough to go up.
