I think it’s fair to say Wakey will be the Championship winners this season Swannie

Re: Rugby League (not Superleague)
It's not so long that the Bradford Bulls were a force in the Super League
The first sports I attended as a kid were rugby league & cricket at Headingley.
Then I saw teams such as Hunslet, Keighley, Batley, Batley, Whitehaven, Featherstone, Dewsbury, Barrow, Swinton & more in what was one huge league with 25 to 30 clubs competing against each other.
Leeds were champions in 1960 Wakey were a very good team in the 60s too.

I saw on Sky Sports that Meslier and Rutter were at the Leeds v St Helens game on Friday

Do you remember when Hunslet played their home games at ER? I hated it. No one but the great Leeds Utd should play their home games at ER.Barlow Boy wrote: ↑Sun Mar 17, 2024 6:41 pm Yes, been very close to their ground on my way to Elland Road today.

Didn’t know that Swannie, thanks for the heads up.
Two big clubs in that first fixture, good luck

I do. What a fall from grace. I remember Wakey playing them in the million pound game at Belle Vue a few years ago. Wakey won that game, thank goodness, or that could be Wakey now.
Re: Rugby League (not Superleague)
Come on Wakey....
Re: Rugby League (not Superleague)
What a different level, similar comparison to Premier League/Championship football.
Many famous names there I grew up with following Leeds as a kid.
