Not sure what these investors do tbh, do they put any money into the club? We're a good side to invest into it, as a lot cheaper than PL clubs, and the investment would skyrocket if we're promoted. Due to our high turnover, you don't have to plough so much money in either.

Basically make a big pot and when that runs out (as it will very quickly in Championship) ask for more.

And hope that one day they get a larger chunk of the sale price than they put in.

An update from the Chairman.

Dear Leeds Supporters, 

While we weren’t able to accomplish our final goal of earning promotion this season, I want to thank you all for your continuous support for the club and squad throughout the campaign. 

Daniel and the squad earned an impressive 90 points, which is a fantastic achievement and shouldn’t be overlooked. Congratulations to Ipswich Town and Leicester City for their near historic points totals which earned them automatic promotion, and to Southampton for persevering through the Play-Offs. 

We enter this summer with the primary goal of putting ourselves in the best position to compete for promotion next season. I can promise you that as we regroup, we’ll be consistent in our approach of operating with a deliberate strategy to put the most competitive team on the pitch that we can.

Above all, your collective energy and passion at Elland Road, and travelling with the squad, will be critical to our next campaign. You are the best supporters in the world and we felt that at every single match this season. 

I look forward to seeing you all at Elland Road again soon.

"Most competitive team" is a little underwhelming. You'd think he'd want to put together the best team in the league. It's not lost in translation either. It would sound underwhelming in American sports too. Given what we did this season. Given the 49ers objective, I really wish he'd said, we'll try to put out the best team in the league next season.

Would imagine he's aware it's far far more difficult 2nd season and your ability to spend is greatly reduced as is historically your promotion chances.

Leeds United chairman Paraag Marathe says there are going to have to be "trade-offs" this summer in the transfer window.

The Whites narrowly missed out on promotion back to the Premier League after a 1-0 defeat by Southampton in the Championship play-off final on Sunday.

But attention at the top of the club will now turn to the transfer window as they look to push again next season.

"I can't talk on specific players right now," Marathe told BBC Radio Leeds when asked about the future of Archie Gray.

"But if I can paint the big picture for you, there are certain things that we need to do and we will make sure we are fully compliant with profit and sustainability, as we always have been, and there are certain trade-offs that we have to make.

"We'll have to think about if the chemistry of the squad is right - which players fit us, what we're trying to be and what we want to look like - versus which players don't fit.

"We have to sit down as a leadership team with Daniel [Farke] to figure out which ones and how we manage all that. So that will be taken into account as well as some of the profit and sustainability complications we have.

"I'm really excited with what we could do. I'm excited about the fact we have a full off-season - an extra five weeks to start planning our player squad strategy."

I find it interesting that he talks about the chemistry of the squad. I always had the feeling that certain players were a bit more about themselves than about the side and that is why it made it harder for us when things started going wrong.

Good that he talks about siting down with Farke and getting the squad right for next season.
