Last three coaches Pressers have went from the sublime under Marcelo to the ridiculous under Jesse, now we have the mundane under Xavi

Cracked it.
That’s what they’re whispering on free kicks
“Pssst hit it to Rodrigo, he’s our best finisher”
“He’s injured”
“Oh bugger”

Brenden is whispering to Jack "just kick it over the bar"

Jack whispers back, "OK Brenden, I'm good at that"

Brenden whispers. "then, ensure you look up to the sky in dismay"

If he can get Bamford to score goals then he deserves a 10 year contract...

He wouldn't reveal the best finisher in training as he was too embarrassed to say it is Meslier...

Gnonto followed by Sinisterra are our most accurate shooters for hitting the target. Rodrigo can't be far behind this season.

Javi Gracia post Brighton

Post by Cjay »

First thoughts
If you asked me before the game I wanted three points but we have to value the point. Every point counts. We were twice behind.

To play this team is very demanding, when you're out position you have to know where to be, they are a very good team. That's why my players deserve credit.

Bamford
Patrick was out last week but today he was avaIlable but not for all the game. We had to manage many players. On the other hand we are recovering players. In the next games we will be stronger.

Harrison
I think Jack is an example in many things. He wrks for the team. The quality he has is out of doubt.

On attacking players
To be honest, I tell you to have more players back is good for us. If we speak about today I'm not happy with the way we attack. We need to improve. The quality of the players we have in the future will be better for us.

On his decision to sit off
I know what happens when you press deep against this team. We prefer to wait for the right moment

On the discipline to press in the way they did
When you ae losing it is not easy. Pressing this way we were able to recover good balls and if we were more clinical maybe we could create good chances. I believe it was the best way. Pressing this way would have been high risk

On Leeds' character
Very pleased, they deserve the credit. They were twice behind, it's not easy to follow the plan and wait for moments but they did many things well

How hard is it to prepare for Brighton?
In my opinion it's very demanding. They do many different things. They create different options and different lines of passes. It's not easy to be well positioned to defend. It was an open game in the second half and there was chances for both teams.

Gracia on his players
I'm happy with all the players. They have to be ready to compete in every single game and that's the only way they can acheive their target. I would like to give more minutes to all of them

Gracia on Bournemouth's win
I knew the result, but we didn't speak about it. What I could feel was they were focused on the game.

Gracia on the table
I don't like to see the table. Today we got a point and the next game we try to get three

Absolutely the right thing to do. Under marsch we'd have been passed through like knife through butter because of the gung-ho pressing.
Nice to see Gracia done his homework on them.

👍🏻

Lots of fans hate it and think the team doesn’t care enough, but yeah, I agree.
