Impressive press conference that, like how he didn’t give any injury news away.

Be interested in what you made of him

Well hopefully this is the first small step in the recovery of the club/team. This guy seems decent and smart so hopefully he can do good things with us, even if we do go down.
I would think a good showing from now to the end of the season that allows him to show us what he can offer ( i think he has been given a no hope job if im honest ) would be enough for the club to think of giving him a proper long term contract for next season, if he open to that of course.

It is hard not compare with the noises Jesse was making this time last year so I wont try

Javi came across well I thought. Of course he has only had a little time to settle and as he mentioned no time to get across his ideas.
He didn't try and talk himself or the players up too much, and I get the idea that he doesn't have an overinflated idea of himself and his ideas either.
He seemed eager to please but not too eager if that makes sense.

I hope the players take to him and do what he asks tomorrow which is to play out of their skins

He also mentioned that he was waiting for a chance to come back to the PL again

Pretty refreshing compared to the snake oil we were sold last year.

Of course in the end it is all about what happens on the pitch, managers can get away with saying anything if the points are coming in.

Thanks Ian.
Was impressed with him, reminds me of an old unflappable comrade even in the face of adversity, remaining calm, exudes confidence, that can only spread to the rest.
Some silly questions asked, but thats about par for journos these days.
He appears to be the type NOT to throw anyone under t' bus, you can see he will be his own man, IF he keeps us up and playing attractive football, the board will keep him on, unless they've already got a name lined up for pre-season that is.
I like his demeanor, remember him from Watford where he was always confident, we'll have a better sense of him in around another month or so, but I'd imagine thats his stance.
