I think you can cancel Bamford tbf, he has all the hallmarks of a striker whose body has just given up on him.

Think we did need another option as whilst Rodrigo is scoring at the moment his contribution to the team outside that is non existant, if he doesn't score his contribution is literally nothing.

So it does make sense and also the concern that Rodders has never been prolific so if he went 5,10 games from now without scoring it wouldn't be a shock.

Hopefully he keeps it up though as it's been vital.

Rutter is a versatile player clearly, can play wide (such as it is in our formation) so could theoretically give us an opportunity to drop Aaronson, play Gnonto central in a second striker role and Rutter wide.

It gives us options which I feel we need

And he is totally different to Rodrigo which is always useful

He's a bit more physical, bit more dynamic and crucially for me his ability to go past players (up in the top 10 I think in Europe) would be a great weapon for a team like is that plays on transition.

I object to the price most of all and the concern he is more of a signing for the future than the now (which as a club is a run before you can walk thing).

But hed definitely give us something else.

I like this signing. Don't need to replace Rodrigo this season. Hopefully we'll get a little bit of Bamford.

We can't afford to pay the price of a Rodrigo replacement anyway.

We need that next generation. Impact sub this season. Pushing to start next season.

He's much similar to Gnonto. Granted the price is higher. But I feel like we got a steal with Gnonto so can't compare.

You can be sure of that? He's 20, great feet, balance, strong, changes direction really well, good in the air, more pace than Rodrigo, Gelhardt and definitely Paddy.

From my research he is slightly better in the air, isn't quicker than Joffy, He also isnt as explosive as Joffy, nor does he work as hard. Nice player, but E30M???

Too many risks involved to . 1 get product from him and 2. Make a profit on resale.

We would be absolutely crazy to spend that type of money on him.

I would be happy with a scenario where Jack Harrison sold and Rutter in , probably break even that way .....I think there are more consistent options now to Harrison and a striker definitely needed .Bamford , well , I don't even think about the possibility of him playing let alone getting back to the form of two seasons ago , he manages at best a couple of games in order to gain fitness , then is injured once again. Completely given up on Bamford , Rutter does seem to do a lot that Bamford once did .

I know nothing from a physio point of view on injuries, but it just seems one thing after another, it’s got to the point where I don’t think he’s injured at all and there is more to it than the club are letting on. If you watch Marsch’s pressers, when talking about injuries he will not expand on Bamford but does with other players, e.g Dallas is back running, Sinisterra is back amongst the group but when he gets to Bamford he just says he won’t be available.

Bamford will get fit again and should be a very good option off the bench, which for me was always likely to be his forte. He does make things happen and never gives up, he just gets involved the second he's on the pitch.

Right now, I'd prefer Jack in the team as opposed to Aaronson.

If they think the money is there and the chance worth taking then it looks like a good football and business decision to get Rutter he looks fantastic already and would give us a very potent front 3 potentially for years. Can’t see it happening though, already a lot of press around it and it’s not like Leeds to steam in and offer an acceptable figure straight away, either someone else will come in or we won’t pay the asking price. Gyokeres or Diaz would still be my picks.

Rutter, again, looks to be an adaptable, multi use player. Can come off the wing, play the ten, not sure he's a 9 like a Berenton, haven't seen anything of Gyokeres

Well the club have made it clear they intend to only spend what we bring in.

Radz has said it in interviews and so has Orta.

So either someone will be sold this window or Summer.

Or the owners have invested capital,unlikely given they rarely ever do.

Or the 49ers have paid for it with the investment coming off the purchase price.

1st one most likely.
