Some of my favourite stuff came out in those years; Virgin Prunes, UK Decay, New Model Army, Sisters of Mercy, Bauhaus, Crass, Violent Femmes, Conflict, Flux of Pink Indians, Rudimentary Peni, The Cure, Banshees...

I know it's a good period for you, but while there's top drawer stuff there's not a lot of it.... Obviously the Cure, The Banshees, Bauhaus etc. Zappa in his final years too and I could easily nominate Zappa for every poll almost twice over.

Many other bands/artists imo, but I doubt they would be considered top drawer stuff by you or Sara, all individual opinions I suppose!

It was my favourite era But I prefer jangle indie/college rock/hardcore punk. It depends on your tastes. I don't particularly care for the 70s for example.

Quality selection here. The Anarcho stuff shaped me as a teenage kid. Still listen to Peni, Crass and Flux a lot......

As long as I like the artist and or their music it's kinda immaterial to me in which decade they surfaced or achieved fame.

Plus I find your taste can change at any given time, some music excites me, and other music just leaves me cold.
