Spear of Destiny this evening

(Currently have One Eyed Jacks up for 1984 in the AOTY thread)

Not the force of 1984 though (although the to be expected rousing encore renditions of ‘Liberator’ and ‘Rainmaker’) and a disappointing number of people turned out. But an undoubtedly better evening than watching Canada v Belgium :)

If that is KB, he and the band seem to have aged well. Must be in his 60's

Me too. Both terrific records but Slanted just edges it for me.

Nice photos, Cat.

I miss going to concerts, the majority of the decent artists gigs are too far away from where we live.

Just hammering the recently discovered Meryl Streek and his debut album '796'. Beautifully furious and nipped in ahead of everything else as my album of the year.

Yes, I went last night as it was only 10mins from the house, so not a huge amount of effort needed really :)

No Durly - The Globe, Albany Road, Cardiff

……although a friend from work was down at CIB on Wednesday to see someone called Kezia Gill. Must confess I’d never heard of her.

Kezia Gill is is an English C&W singer/songwriter. Had her album on a while back.... good voice tbf,. though the content is the standard fare you'd find on most American Country albums

I doubt as great as 'The Sea Drift', but I'll always give your recommendations a few listens 8-)

 ...thought you probably knew anyway and would be going. I only mentioned it because I noticed on the footer to the Spotify page after I had been listening to the album, following your rave review
