30m for a 29 year old, lets hope he keeps fit, and helps us stay up.

Re: Rodrigo - DEAL DONE
Finally someone I can talk about, not just someone we are 'linked' with.
Who would have thought we would be able to get someone of this calibre a couple of seasons ago?
I just hope he does as well as we all hope.
Hopefully a couple more stellar signings to come.
A big Koch in the next few days would be nice.

I imagine he'll replace PB after the liverpool game unless PB has a worldie against liverpool. he's the out and out striker for spain so surely we're not going to try and shoehorn him into a cam position?! maybe bielsa will who knows - hope we're not relying on PB this season is all!
just a cb and attacking mid now plz
apparently valencia valued him at 60 million euros last summer and atletico met this release clause only for them to back out last min...must be decent!

That's the good thing about the system, if Bamford has a season of worldies and isn't displaced then that's good too right?danhirons wrote: ↑Sat Aug 29, 2020 9:41 am I imagine he'll replace PB after the liverpool game unless PB has a worldie against liverpool. he's the out and out striker for spain so surely we're not going to try and shoehorn him into a cam position?! maybe bielsa will who knows - hope we're not relying on PB this season is all!

He will be going straight to join up with the Spanish squad for the game against Germany on Thursday, and then will have to self isolate for 14 days on his return (Although that doesn't seem to apply for Andrea and Victor, so maybe not ?).

Fantastic bit of business and relatively cheap too compared to what he nearly went for last year. Great stuff, three more first team players and we will be looking really good

Feel happier now
Radz, Orta & Bielsa took responsibility since our promotion aware of the higher class level the Premier League is compared to the Championship, a couple more top signings to come I suspect!
No good sitting back & doing a Delia

Inside Futbol says Koch is set to be on a plane to England today. The agreed-upon price was fourteen and a half million euros.
One or two more key first-team signings and then, perhaps, we can get Bielsa's signature, too.
A Spanish international for a striker and German international for a center back. The U23 signings all look good; Greenwood will probably come to the first team sometime this season.
Dare we say it? Leeds are capably managed?
Be still my beating heart.

Think Rodrigo and Che would be a great combo.
'
"Football is about the people and the players,” he said. “Then there are those who will mingle in the middle: the coaches, executives and journalists. That last group represents the worst part about football" Marcelo Bielsa

Re: Rodrigo - DEAL DONE
This is a great signing - well done to Orta and Radrizzani in securing Rodrigo.
I really think Bielsa will develop him further, even at 29, and in doing so we’ll benefit. In his interview on the Leeds United website he emphasized he wants to learn from Bielsa, but also was keen to say he’s aiming for the ‘22 World Cup with Spain. Not playing in Spain means he will really have to shine with us to keep his international place.
It’s good to see him having goals like these, as well as his aims with Leeds.

Re: Rodrigo - DEAL DONE
Good to hear some of the players messaged Victor congratulating him on the signing, shows that they are grounded enough to recognise Rods pedigree and how he would be deserving of a very high wage.
Also as a person DAVE comes across really well, this message to his former club is a nice thing to do, humble.

Re: Rodrigo - DEAL DONE
Just looking at Rodders record at Valencia.
He joined on loan summer 2014, new manager was Nuno (Wolves boss).
Generally played a 4-3-3 with Rodders on the right.
He left in November 2015 and then until Marcelino arrived in summer 2017 Rodders had 3 managers full time including Gary Neville and a caretaker who took over a few times (same guy).
Marcelino was a turning point for Rodders.
They finished 4th twice and made progress in Europe and won a cup competition with Rodders finishing top scorer for them both seasons.
Under Marcelino Rodders flourished.
In 2 and a bit seasons (ending earlier last season when he was sacked).
In all competitions.
6946 minutes (77.1 games)
34 goals 17 assists.
Apparently not similar in tactics to MB but he did have a high priority on fitness and diets.
Hopefully stands Rodders in good stead.
