Very true.

White forever.
Probably after that experience.
Poor bloke. Not in the monetary sense

Re: Javi Gracia- Issues statement
The problem he faced and which SA will have to overcome is the limitations in defence and midfield we have. You could probably add forward to that, but we are not a goal shy team per se. We have goals no doubt.
Defensively we are a mess, positional awareness, anticipation and concentration are in short supply.
I am unconvinced he will be able to solve these issues to a degree that will make a difference unless Lady Luck truly shines on us and when we do make a mistake we actually get away with it for once.
It is interesting that SA’s philosophy is to pass the ball forwards, he wants his midfielders to have the ball played into them whilst on the half turn, he hates players receiving the ball facing their own goal.
If this is the case neither Roca or Forshaw should have a place in the team. Gyabi, McKennie and Aaronson are comfortable taking the ball on the half turn. It will be interesting to see if he adheres to that principle.

I would echo your comments. I thought he seemed to be a decent manager and had us doing well till the CP half time. I will be curious to see how well he does back at Watford and hope he does well.
Re: Javi Gracia- Issues statement
His CV reasonably solid.
Couple of promotions, some top 10 La Liga finishes with a lesser team.
Mid table with Watford and a cup final.
Not without a blip but plenty of managers would be happy with that in a 15 odd year managerial career.
And for us he improved things to begin with, but something clearly went wrong?
I wonder if a revolt? Players signed to play the daft MarschBall wanting to return to it maybe?
Whatever happened our defence opened up and the goals flowed at the wrong end

I recall towards the ending of his tenure there were rumblings of the younger players calling for leadership from some of the senior players.Cjay wrote: ↑Wed Oct 08, 2025 5:51 pm His CV reasonably solid.

I think Gnoto and Summerville were probably upset at the likes of Roca and McKennie who just seemed disinterested.
Perhaps one day we will hear what happened.

I wish him the best. Thought he did a reasonable job for us. Still think we stood a better chance of staying up with him at the helm than with Big Sam. I would pay to have been a fly on the wall of our half time and post game locker rooms of that Palace match. Something strange went down and we never recovered.

Weasel, you and Cjay have been agreeing too much of late. We need you two to get back to the fisticuffs, especially during this boring international break.

 I kid!
