Well if he decides to go for one of the three promoted clubs - loyalty can be severely tested by cold hard cash - he will want a relegation release clause inserted in his contract.

Certainly can DB. The lad owes us nothing really. He came in, did a cracking job and i wouldn't hold it against him personally if he wants PL football. I just think he should want more than one season in the PL. I am still convinced he would join Leeds if we had the money to compete.

I don't see why we wouldn't have the money to compete. We were able to match his Spurs wages last season unless we were only paying a portion of his wages. That just leaves the fee which may be doable but would presumably depend more on FFP than whether we have the money. I think it will depend on what sales we do and how quickly they get done.Leeds1000 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 18, 2024 3:52 pm Certainly can DB. The lad owes us nothing really. I think Rodon wants to give the Prem a shot .. and rightly so

A lot of speculation around at this quiet time but nothing concrete about Joe. So you never know. If someone in the PL offers him £20kpw extra then it will be hard for the lad to refuse. He has the right characteristics for Leeds Joe. It would be a boost if he stays.weasel wrote: ↑Tue Jun 18, 2024 7:51 pm I don't see why we wouldn't have the money to compete. Indeed rightly so but equally if we could match his wages he might see us as more attractive as he knows he'd start regularly and you would also think that he'd be confident of getting promoted with us.The Subhuman wrote: ↑Tue Jun 18, 2024 7:55 pm I think Rodon wants to give the Prem a shot .. and rightly so
